MEMORANDUM TO PLAYERS
FORMAT, QUALIFYING PLACES, AND TIES
- FORMAT.18-holes of stroke play
- QUALIFYING SPOTS. 4 qualifying spots and 2 alternates
- PLAYOFF. A hole-by-hole playoff will be used to break a tie for the final qualifying spot, first alternate, and/or second alternate. All announcements regarding the play-off will be made at the scoring area immediately upon completion of play.

SCHEDULING PRACTICE ROUNDS
Practice rounds are available for $60, which includes a cart. Listed below are instructions to secure a practice round tee time for (1) local players and (2) out-of-town players:
- Players traveling under 60 miles should call the pro shop (518-869-5101) to schedule a time on a preferred date.
- Players traveling over 60 miles have first access to play Sunday and must register for a tee time using the instructions below - do not call the pro shop.

WITHDRAWALS
Notify the USGA immediately if you must withdraw from this qualifier. To withdraw and view the USGA's refund policy, click here. Failure to do so may result in suspension from future USGA competitions.
ALTERNATES
Have no status in this qualifier until notified by the USGA that they have been added to this field, shortly after which the NYSGA will send you the Player Information email. Alternates must not schedule a practice round.
STARTING YOUR ROUND
Players should report to the 1st tee ten (10) minutes prior to their starting time for announcements. There is no registration.
PRACTICE FACILITIES & PRO SHOP
The golf shop and practice facilities will open at 6:30am. Range balls are complimentary and available on the practice tee adjacent to the parking lot.
PUSH CARTS
Are approved for this qualifier. The club has a limited supply of push carts available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Electric push carts are permitted if there is no seat attachment.
FOOD SERVICE
- Halfway House (CASH ONLY), located adjacent to the 9th putting green and swimming pool, is open Sunday + Monday.
- Restaurant (cash + credit) will be open only on Sunday.
- On-course snacks and beverages will be provided by the NYSGA during the qualifying round.
CADDIES
Players may bring their own caddie or carry their own clubs. There are no caddies available through the host club. A caddie is required to wear an NYSGA caddie bib, which will be provided at starting during announcements.
LIVE SCORING
One player - or caddie - from each group is required to enter hole-by-hole scores for live scoring into Golf Genius mobile app. If no one volunteers, the starter will toss a tee. Please download the app ahead of time.

LOCAL RULES AND CONDITIONS
Listed below are a number of important Conditions of Competition and Local Rules for this qualifier.
- USGA LOCAL RULES AND TERMS OF THE COMPETITION (HARD CARD). Click here.
- GROOVE CONDITION. The players’ clubs must conform to the grooves and punch mark specifications in The Rules of Golf that are effective from January 1, 2010. See Model Local Rule G-2. The exception for Ping Eye2 Irons manufactured before March 31, 1990 is not in effect. (click here).
- CONFORMING BALLS AND DRIVER HEADS. Visit the USGA website for a list of approved golf balls (click here) and driver heads (click here).
- ONE BALL RULE. Is NOT in effect for any USGA qualifying rounds in 2025.
- DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES. For all USGA qualifying rounds, the use of distance measuring devices to measure distance only is permitted.
PROHIBITING USE OF MOTORIZED TRANSPORTATION (LOCAL RULE G-6)
Players must not ride on any form of transportation during a stipulated round unless authorized by the Committee. The optional condition prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures will be in effect. A breach will result in the general penalty, two-strokes, on each hole where the breach occurred.
PLAYER/CADDIE USE OF GOLF CART
A disabled player or caddie may be permitted to use a golf cart as an accommodation to their ability. As required by the ADA, the USGA will evaluate such requests on a case-by-case basis. To learn more and to submit the required form, click here.
SPECTATOR CARTS
Spectator carts are not permitted, exceptions are made for those with a permanent disability. As required by the ADA, the NYSGA will evaluate such requests on a case-by-case basis. To request a spectator cart, please complete and return the required form, click here.
PACE OF PLAY
The NYSGA Pace of Play policy is adopted for this qualifier.
CODE OF CONDUCT
The NYSGA Code of Conduct is in effect for this qualifier.
EVACUATION PLAN
In the event of a discontinuance of play during the qualifier, players must adhere to the evacuation plan distributed by the Committee at their starting tee.
