2025 SDGA SUPER SENIOR POY SCHEDULE

The Sovik Cup consists of 12 players from both the SDGA and the CNYPGA. The team will be selected from the Top 4 overall point leaders from the Super Senior Points List, (The other spots are comprised of the top 8 overall point leaders from the Sovik Cup Points List). The leader of the Super Senior Points List will be the SDGA Super Senior Player of the Year.

ELIGIBILITY & FAQS

  • Eligibility: Players must be at least 65 years old as of June 17th, 2025 &  Players must hold an active USGA/GHIN Handicap Index at a 2025 SDGA Member Club or be a member of the NYSGA eClub of Central NY (Territory defined as residing in the following counties: Onondaga, Cortland, Cayuga, Madison, Oswego, Oneida, Seneca, Tompkins, and Wayne County east of Route 14 ).
  • Ties: Ties for positions in stroke play competitions will split points evenly.
  • Additional Point Opportunities:
    • Super Senior Porter Cup
      • 50 additional points for competing in event. 100 additional points for top 20 & ties. 150 additional points for top 10 & ties. 200 additional points for top 5 & ties. 250 additional points for winning.  
    • WAGR
      • Players earn 50 points for being actively ranked in the USGA/R&A WAGR system as of September 1st, 2025
