Horse Race
- After completion of your matches on Friday - all teams will stay on the course to compete in an in-flight shootout
- You will stay on the same 9 as your match and your first hole - it should be close to where you finish your first round
- Once all teams in your flight are at the designated tee, you'll compete in an Alternate-Shot Shootout - 3 holes - start when all teams are there and you are ready
- Scorecards will be provided with your starting hole and they will indicate any teams in your Flight that are getting strokes
Payout
10% of money collected in your Flight. Projected: $25/Team based upon all teams (6) in your Flight completing the Team Purchase ($250/team) - the Horse Race payout will be $150 to the winning team. If not all teams purchase their team, the payout will be adjusted accordingly.
Friday Horse Race Format
- Alternate Shot (Foursomes), 3 hole shootout
In-Flight Teams only
All Teams that participated in the optional Team Purchase are eligible.
You will be competing ONLY against the teams in your Flight.
- Green Tees will be utilized for all teams
- Flip a tee to determine the playing order
- Green Course Handicap at 50% of the total combined team handicap will be used to determine strokes given to all Shootout Teams.
- Strokes are allocated based off the lowest Playing Handicap Team. Strokes are determined per the scorecard’s Men’s Handicap designation
- Net Alternate Shot format (Teams will play one ball)
- Each Flight will be provided a designated starting tee.
- Tee shots will alternate between teammates on each hole of the playoff (Player.1 tees off on odd holes, Player 2 tees off on even holes)
- Shots played during the hole will alternate between teammates
- Hole 1 - a maximum of 4 teams with the lowest Net score will advance
- Hole 2 - a maximum of 2 teams with the lowest net score will advance
- Hole 3 - the team with the lowest net score will be deemed the winner
Chip Offs (if necessary)
Note: If there are more teams tied on any hole, including the final hole, than the number of teams that should advance to the next hole, a closest to the pin chip off will be used to determine which team or teams will advance to the next Shootout hole.
- All players on the teams that are tied will participate.
- The location for the chip off on each hole will be pre-determined and marked by the Pro Shop.
- Flip a tee to determine the playing order.
