Your path to the 2025 Ohio Amateur goes through NCR Country Club (North). To help you prepare for your Qualifying Round on Tuesday, May 27, we have enclosed information for your review. 

 

STARTING ASSIGNMENTS FOR TUESDAY, MAY 27

 

QUALIFYING POSITIONS:   The low 29 Qualifying scores and 3 Alternates will be determined. All ties for the final qualifying positions and alternate positions will be decided by a Hole-by-Hole sudden victory playoff. All playoff announcements will be made at the scoring area as soon as all scores are certified.  It is the competitor's responsibility to be in position for the playoff at the conclusion of the qualifying round.

 

NO REGISTRATION: No registration is required. Please ensure you reach your starting tee 10 minutes prior to your tee time.

AS A REMINDER: Electronic Measuring Devices are permitted by the Rules of Golf and all clubs must meet the grove requirements outlined on the Championship Entry.

 

CADDIES:   Players may bring their own caddies and this includes parents/legal guardians, however, a player who is playing in the same qualifying event may not caddie in the morning or afternoon wave opposite from their own starting.

 

TRANSPORTATION:  Carts are permitted at qualifying, weather permitting, but MUST be rented from the golf shop.  No group may have more than two carts and if only two people are riding, then one cart per group.  If you have a caddie, the caddie or player may have to walk if the cart is shared with another player.   

 

PULL CARTS: are permitted but you must bring your own.  

 

SPECTATOR CARTS ARE PROHIBITED, NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE GRANTED

 

SUPPORT MATERIAL: Hole Locations, Notice to Player (local rules) and OGA Hard Card (local rules) will be posted to the event portal on or before May 26 and available on your starting hole.   

 

SCORING: The printed scorecard will be official and will need a signature from the player and marker to be certified. Immediately after your round please proceed to the appropriate Official Scoring Areas, adjacent to the 9th and 18th greens. Volunteer Scoring Stations will be stationed every three holes, please communicate your scores to them as you pass by their locations

 

SCORES: will be posted to your World Handicap Record

 

SPECIAL NOTES AND REMINDERS:

--No Denim, Cargo shorts or cargo pants.  

--Collared Shirts are required.  

--No Shoes with traditional spikes including ceramic or metal. 

--A player who is playing in the same round is not permitted to caddie. 

--Limited food & beverage will be available with credit card purchase.  

--One Ball Rule not in effect.  

--Electronic Measuring Devices (as long as all other features are turned off) are permitted by the Rules of Golf.  

--We DO NOT play the local rule for Lost Ball/Ball out of Bounds. If your ball is lost outside of a penalty area or lost out of bounds, you must return to the spot of your previous stroke with a 1 stroke penalty.    

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS: 

Who is allowed to play a Practice Round: Competitors Only (Guests, caddies, or Family Members are not permitted due to availability and size of the field)

When can they play: The week leading up to the event after 2:00pm (No tee times will be assigned on Monday, May 26th due to Memorial Day).  Tee times may be made 2 days in advance of the day wishing to play.

 

Who will they play with: We will pair all participants that make requests for practice round times. We will try and keep them in 3-somes for pace of play reasons.  Cost: $75 (NCRCC Family Guest Rate) + Cart Fee ($25)
