Golf 101 is perfect for women new to the game or returning after a break. You'll bond with fellow beginners, receive coaching from a dedicated LPGA/PGA professional, and connect with women golfers in your community. Our instructor ensures you gain the skills and confidence to navigate the course independently, even with little to no prior experience.

Meet Your Instructor
Maulana Dotch, the General Manager of Hermann Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas, has made history as the first African American woman in Texas and the second in America to earn her Class A PGA Membership. Her credentials also include an LPGA Teaching and Coaching membership.
A graduate of Bethune Cookman University with a B.A. in Accounting, Maulana's journey in golf evolved through two seasons on the Futures and Symetra Tour. Her passion for the game led her to a career dedicated to introducing and teaching golf to kids, women, and minorities.
As GM of Hermann Park GC, her commitment to growing the game extends to partnerships with women's golf organizations, where she provides instructional programming. Additionally, she launched the USGA * LPGA Girl's Golf Houston Chapter at Hermann Park Golf Course.
Maulana's influence transcends the golf course; she was featured in the CBS Sports "8:46 Campaign" during the 2020 PGA Championship. Her overarching goal is to positively impact everyone she encounters, serving as an inspiration to young girls that their potential knows no bounds!
