FORMAT
36 holes of individual stroke play, cut after 18 holes to low-20 + ties. The low 9 players after 36 holes qualify for the 2025 NYSPHSAA Boys Golf Championship. Any ties for the 9th spot will be broken by sudden death playoff.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Below is the tentative schedule of events:
- Wednesday, May 21// Round 1
- 8:20am........Coaches meeting (each school must have a coach present)
- 8:35am........Player meeting (putting green)
- 8:45am........Players walk to assigned hole
- 9:00am........Shotgun start, groups of three
- Friday, May 23 // Round 2
- 11:00am......Tee times, groups of three
RULES
The Rules of Golf governs play, as modified by Local Rules. A rules sheet will be provided to all players and coaches. Rules Officials will be available to answer questions - coaches will have their phone number to call for assistance.

CUT & QUALIFYING INFORMATION
- Round 1: The field will be cut after 18 holes to the top-20 players and ties.
- Round 2: The top-9 players will qualify for the 2025 NYSPHSAA Boys Golf Championship.
TIES
Any ties for the 9th spot will be broken by hole-by-hole playoff to begin immediately following the conclusion of Round 2.
AWARDS & PICTURES
There will be a meeting and pictures for the 9 players and Coaches immediately after play.
OFFICIAL SCORECARD & LIVE SCORING
Each player will have a scorecard to keep score for another player in their group and record their own scores. The assigned coach for the group will keep the group's official scorecard, and must get verbal confirmation for each player's score after each hole. The coach will also be responsible for entering each player's score into the Golf Genius mobile app after each hole.

After the round, each player will confirm the score for the player they were responsible for, as well as their own. Then the coach will confirm each hole's score for each player on the official scorecard. When completed, each player and the coach must sign the official scorecard.
DRIVING RANGE
The driving range at Seven Oaks is located about 1/4 mile from the clubhouse, players must be driven to the range. Tokens can be purchased in the pro shop (cash/credit) or at the driving range (cash only). Click here to view the map to the driving range.
PRACTICE ROUNDS
Can be setup by calling the pro shop (315-824-1432). The fee for players is $25 per player (walking) and for Coaches it is the daily rate. Players must walk unless accompanied by an adult, no exceptions. If your district is paying, arrangements need to be made ahead to pay on the day of your practice round.
COURSE YARDAGE
The New York State Golf Association (NYSGA) is responsible for setting up the golf course, which includes marking, hole locations, yardage, and creating the rules sheet. Hard copies of the rules sheet and hole locations will be provided to players and Coaches before Round 1 and emailed to Coaches no later than 8:00pm on May 20th. Below is the tentative yardage, which is a combination of different tees (blk, blu, wht). These may be changed based on the weather forecast (wind/rain) and turf firmness.

FOOD SERVICE
On the 21st and 23rd the halfway house between #9 and #10 will not be open, instruct players to bring their own food, snacks, and water. The club's restaurant will be open at 11:00am and accepts cash/credit.
SPECTATOR EXPECTATIONS & RULES
Spectators are welcome to attend this event. Below are important expectations and rules that must be followed to ensure fair play - which will be strictly enforced.
- Spectator carts are not permitted
- Behave appropriately, cheer - don't criticize
- Do not speak on a cell phone near players, phones must be set to silent
- Do not caddie, including during the practice round - spectators can carry clothes/food for players
- Do not give advice, either verbally or through signals
- Do not text a player during the round
- Stay 'outside-the-ropes', do not walk in the fairway and stay at least three full paces away from bunkers and putting greens
- Walk ahead of your group to not delay the group behind
- Help searching for errant shots is allowed, be careful not to touch any balls or improve any lies
- Do not engage with Rules Officials when giving a ruling unless specifically asked
- Exercise caution at all times - spectators attend at their own risk
REMINDERS FOR SPECTATORS
The NFHS Network is the official streaming partner of the NYSPHSAA State Championships. They own exclusive rights to all NYSPHSAA State Tournament events (Sub-Regional, Regional, Semifinals and Finals).
Broadcasting or streaming a NYSPHSAA state championship of any kind (including social media accounts) is a violation of that agreement. Spectators not adhering to this policy will be asked to stop immediately.
