Join us for an early (discounted! prime time!) round of golf on the July 4th holiday! You still can attend that holiday BBQ later in the day. Cantigny Golf is one of the best public courses in the Chicagoland area - if you haven't played it, this is a great opportunity! Planning to play in the Chapter Championship? This is an excellent chance to play a practice round. Ever wanted to play with a caddie? Cantigny has an excellent caddie program and has waived the caddie fee for 2025 - you just need to provide a a tip/gratuity. (Once tee times/pairings are set, please call the course directly to request a caddie.)
What is Just Golf? Just that...just golf!! You play your own ball. No prizes, no gimmicks...just golf!! Guests are allowed, but limited to one per member per event. We reserve tee times at a course. You register on this site and pay the course directly on the day of play. If you can, stick around after play for a drink or lunch at the clubhouse - the Fareways Grill has great options!

Cantigny offers 27 challenging holes on beautiful, rolling terrain covering nearly 300 acres. The Woodside, Lakeside and Hillside nines each have distinct identities, adding richness to the golf experience. The Hillside course was renovated in 2024 and opens for play on June 2; the Lakeside course will be closed for renovation for the rest of the year. Cantigny is the five-time host of the Illinois State Amateur Championship and frequent regional tournaments. Cantigny has earned a reputation as one of the finest public-access golf facilities in the Midwest.
Registration
Registration opens: Sunday, June 1, 2025
Registration closes: Friday, June 27, 2025
Price: $110 walking; $130 riding (shared cart). Pay the course directly on the day of play. Includes a small warm-up bucket at the driving range.
Requirements: Recommended for Intermediate/ Skillful/ Advanced golfers only. Click here for Skill levels. More important than skill level is the ability to meet the course's pace of play target and keep up with the group in front of you (monitored by course rangers).
Capacity: 16 golfers
To register for this event, click the grey "Register Now" button on this page or go to Home > Event Registration when registration is open. You may need to login with your LPGA Amateurs account email and password. If you don't know your login info, please contact HQ-Membership.
You may request to play with one player. (Scramble teams practicing for the Chapter Championship may play together.) Player tee times/pairings will be emailed to players after registration closes. Players must either be willing to share a cart or be willing to walk.
This event is for LPGA Amateurs Chicago Metro Chapter members and their guests only (1 guest max). Non-members cannot register on their own.
Prior to the registration deadline or before tee times/pairings have been emailed, please contact the Event Captain to cancel. **IMPORTANT** Cantigny has a strict 24-hour cancel policy; they will charge us for late cancelations and no-shows. Once the tee times/pairings have been emailed to players, it is the player's responsibility to contact the course to cancel a tee time. Please also notify the Event Captain (in addition to calling the course) if you are canceling, in case we need to revise the pairings.
Registrants must agree to pay/repay the greens fee in case of late cancels or no-shows. Failure to repay may lead to suspension of the member's right to register for future leagues or events until payment is received.
