Practice Round

Practice round pairings will be announced at the Welcome Lunch on Monday.  You will be paired with your partner for the Mixed Four-Ball competition. Play will be in foursomes and we ask each group to play ready golf, hit only 1 approach shot into the greens and limit the chipping and putting to make sure you are keeping up with the group in front of you and play in 5 hours (16/17 minutes per hole).

Golf Course set-up

The golf course set up will be determined by course & weather conditions each day.  A general yardage guideline is available on the tournament website with the boys playing the Gold tee markers with a total yardage of approximately 7250 and the girls playing the Blue tee markers with a total yardage of approximately 6350.  Yardage guides will be provided at registration. Rules/Hole location sheets will be available on the 1st & 10th tees.

Rules Questions

There will be four USGA certified Rules Officials on the golf course to help with any ruling questions.  If you have a rules question and cannot find an Official, please call the phone # listed on the rules/hole locations sheet and we’ll get one to you.

Caddies

Players are allowed to carry their own clubs, use a pushcart (we have pushcarts available at no cost if you don’t want the hassle of bringing your own) or use a caddie.  We are encouraging players to have a sibling, parent, coach, etc. caddy for them.  If you need a caddie and do not have one, please contact Drew at drewsawyer@crookedstick.org. and we’ll try to find a local caddie for you.  It will be the player’s responsibility to pay the caddie and the cost is $75 per round.  Caddies will pick up their caddie bib at the range prior to play on Monday afternoon.

We encourage the use of social media while you are in town by sharing photos and comments from your experience. We want to see the moments you capture throughout the tournament so be sure to find us on social media and tag us!
