Listed below is IMPORTANT tournament information.  Please read carefully.

Format:  36 holes stroke play; 18 holes per day.   

 

Start Times:

Sunday, July 21 – 1:30 pm Shotgun Start

 

Monday, July 22 - Tee Times on holes #1 and #10 starting at 7:30 a.m.

 

Registration:  Registration will begin at 11:30 am on Sunday on the back of the driving range.  

There will be no registration on Monday; players should arrive at their assigned tee 10 minutes prior to their time of start.

 

Shuttling:  We will attempt to shuttle to holes 14, 15 and 16 on Sunday. Announcements will begin at 1:00 at the practice putting green. After announcements players will begin walking to their assigned holes.

 

Time of StartingPlayers are responsible for showing up and ready to play on time at their correct tee. The player will be penalized for arriving after their time and disqualified for showing up after 4 minutes 59 seconds after their starting time.  The official starting times will be posted at jtnc.org.

 

Range:  One small bucket only will be available for each player to warm up on the driving range. The golf course will have a list of the players’ names, and will require the player themselves to come grab the bucket.  A limited number of spots are available on the range, so practice balls will be limited to offer everyone a chance to warm up. As an additional option Jack Tone Driving Range is not far from the course if you do not want to risk waiting for a spot to warm up.

 

Sunday:  The range will open to JTNC players at 11:30 a.m.

Monday:  The range will open at 6:30 a.m.

 

Practice RoundPractice rounds are available after 1:00 pm only. Player cost is $30, parents cost is $50, and the cart fee is $15. Please contact the golf shop at 209-599-3630 for tee time availability. Prior arrangements should be made to insure tee time availability. 

 

Food Service:  Sunday, a box lunch will be available at 11:30 in the registration area.  Monday a barbeque style lunch will be available when players complete their round.

Restaurant:  The restaurant will be closed to all non-Spring Creek Golf and Country Club members. The snack bar will be open both Sunday and Monday to all JTNC players and parents. Credit card or reciprocal club charge is available at the snack bar and at the golf shop. Cash is not accepted at the club.

 

Second Round PairingsSecond round pairings will be available after all first round scores are posted.  The pairings will be available at jtnc.org on the contestant information page.

 

Rules of Play:  The 2019 USGA Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the JTNC rules card.  The committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed on the tournament days. It is the individual player’s responsibility to know the conditions of the competition. 

 

Walking:  Players must walk at all times, except as authorized by the Committee.  Caddies are not permitted.  Pull or push carts are permitted.  Spectator carts are prohibited. Handicap carts will be available at $30 per person. Individuals must have either a handicap placard or a doctor’s note to be cleared by the JTNC staff before purchasing the cart. Dress CodePlayers and Spectators must be properly attired both on the golf course and on the premises of the club.  Blue jeans, designer jeans, T-shirts and tank tops are prohibited.  Golf shirts must be worn and shorts must be of appropriate length (no jean shorts).  This dress code will be used at all JTNC competitions in conjunction with any additional dress code restrictions of the particular golf course involvedA violation of this dress code must be rectified without undue delay or the player will not be allowed to continue play. Spectators violating will be asked to change or leave the club.

 

SpectatorsSpectators must wear proper attire while at the club.  Please see the Dress Code policy above.  Food service will not be available at the restaurant, only at the snack bar.

 

The use of electronic devices should be limited to areas where their use will not distract players on the course.  Spectators must maintain at least 25 yards from the players and avoid even the appearance of imparting advice or assisting the player in any way.  A spectator may approach a player briefly to hand clothing, food or beverages to the player, but should not have prolonged conversations.  Please walk ahead of the group you are following and stay in the rough or near the cart paths.  Do not delay groups by walking slowly.  Spectators must stay off the greens and out of the bunkers at all times.  Spectators violating these policies may be asked to leave the course.  Spectators are prohibited from using golf carts.

 

Ties:  In the event of ties, there will be a play-off for first place. Ties for second and third will be decided using the USGA’s method for matching cards.  In a competition with a multiple tee start, the last nine holes will be holes 10-18.

 

Footwear: The Local Rule as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect. Model Local Rule G-7. Penalty for breach of Local Rule – see Rue 4.3. 

 

Withdrawals & No ShowsPlayers who enter a JTNC event and wish to withdraw for any reason MUST notify the JTNC/NCGA staff at the Rules and Competitions department at (831) 625-4653. Failure to notify the JTNC/NCGA will result in a NO SHOW and the player will receive a one-year suspension from all JTNC events for the following calendar year following the infraction. A player who only contacts the course and NOT the JTNC/NCGA will incur the suspension.
