2025 Women's Inter-Club Finals

Please find information related to the 2025 Women's Inter-Club Finals conducted by the Western Pennsylvania Golf Association at Green Oaks Country Club in Verona, PA on Monday, September 4th, 2025.

 

Format: Six-player teams and an individual component. The competition is 18 holes of Gross Stableford Stroke Play; the top four scores of six per hole count towards the team score. In the case of a tie in the team event, the lower fourth score of the second round will break the tie. If still tied, the lowest fourth score from the first round will break the tie. If still tied after that, the USGA tie breaking method (last 9, 6, 3, 1, hole(s). Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf.

 

Tee MarkersPlay in the Women's Inter-Club Finals is from the BLUE WPGA tee markers and will play roughly 5,120 yards

depending on conditions and is subject to change..

 

PracticePractice rounds can be scheduled by contacting the golf shop at 412-793-2000. The Golf Professional is Jason Hammel. Practice rounds are at the discretion of the golf shop. Practice round fees are $60 which includes cart. Practice round fees are the responsibility of the player. 

 

Food & BeverageWater will be provided on-course. A lunch will be provided after the round.

 

Pace of Play: The maximum allowable time will be four hours and twenty minutes (4:20).  A four-point checkpoint system will be in place for the competition. Please review the WPGA Pace of Play Policy.

Transportation: Players are permitted to use carts for the competition. The cart fee is included.  Players may bring their own caddies if they choose.  Only Two carts per group.

 

 

Footwear: Model Local Rule G-7 Prohibiting Use of Certain Types of Shoes is in effect. Shoes with traditional spikes or spikes of any design that are entirely or partially made of metal are prohibited.

 

Lodging: Lodging of various price ranges can be found in the Verona area.

 

Evacuation Plan: In the event of a suspension of play for a dangerous situation, all players are to immediately return to the clubhouse. WPGA staff and volunteers will assist in the evacuation.

 

Note: A suspension for a dangerous situation will be signaled by one prolonged air horn note. All other types of suspension will be signaled by three consecutive air horn notes, repeated. Resumption of play will be signaled by two short air horn notes, repeated.

 

Spectator Info: No spectator carts will be permitted for the qualifying rounds without pre-approval. Please contact the WPGA office for more information.
