Date:  June 4,5 & 7, 2019

 

Eligibility: 

 

  • Entry into the Championship Division is open to anyone with a handicap index of 23.5 or less.
  • Entry into the Founders Cup is limited to players with a handicap index between 13.0 to 23.5. 
  • A change to the division for which you registered can be made by contacting the Major Tournament Chair below.  
  • Handicap Index Revision Date is May 15th.

 

Entry Deadline:  May 27, 2019 11:59 P.M.

 

Entry Fee:  $85.00 includes carts, prizes and lunch for the qualifying round only.  The cart fee of $32 is mandatory for each round unless a player elects to use a caddie from the Hartford Golf Club.  Caddie fees are $65 plus tip.

 

Schedule of Events/Tournament Description and Format:

 

Tuesday June 4, 2018

 

  • 18 Hole qualifying round. Tee times beginning at 8:00 AM; Championship Qualifiers first, followed by Founders’ Cup Qualifiers.
  • The low 16 Qualifiers in the Championship Flight and the low 16 Qualifiers in the Founders’ Cup flight will advance to Match Play.
  • If there are less than 14 players registered in either division, the low 8 Qualifiers will advance to Match Play and the match play schedule will be adjusted accordingly.
  • Ties for the medalist and the last spot in each division will be determined by a sudden death playoff.

 

Wednesday June 5, 2019

  • First and Second Round Matches begin at 8:00 AM for the Championship Division followed by the Founders’ Cup.  Second round matches will begin approximately 1/2 hour after the conclusion of the first round matches.
  • Players must pay a cart fee of $32 for each round unless using a caddie from Hartford Golf Club.
  • Lunch is optional and may be billed back to member clubs. 

 

Friday June 7, 2019

  • Semi-Final matches in both divisions will be played beginning at 8:00 AM starting with the Championship Flight.  The Final Round Matches will begin approximately 1/2 hour after the conclusion of all Semi-Final matches, starting with the Founders' Cup.  
  • Lunch is optional and may be billed back to member clubs.
  • An awards reception will be held immediately following the conclusion of the final matches.

 

Caddies/Transportation: The cart fee is required even if a player chooses to walk and bring her own caddie.  Unless the player is using a caddie from Hartford Golf Club, she must pay the $32 cart fee for herself and her own caddie, even if her caddie walks.  Cart fees apply to all rounds and can be billed back to member clubs.

 

Practice Rounds:  Complimentary Practice rounds are available for registered players after 2:00 p.m. on the following dates:  5/20, 5/21 and 5/28. Cart fees will apply.  Caddies are welcome to walk/carry for players but may not play.  Please call the golf shop at 860.523.0153 to schedule a practice round.

 

Withdrawal/Refund Policy:  

 

  • If it is necessary to cancel, please contact the Major Tournament Chair below.
  • Withdrawals made prior to the closing date are subject to a $25 cancellation fee.
  • Withdrawals after the closing date will result in forfeiture of the entire entry fee,
