CHAMPIONSHIP DETAILS

Date: July 15-19, 2019

 

Location: Arrowhead Golf Club | Molalla, Ore.

 

Player Lodging

 

Eligibility: Entries are open to amateur female golfers who: a) are members in good standing of a PNGA member club; and b) have a USGA Handicap Index or Golf Canada Handicap Factor not exceeding 12.4 for the Women's Amateur at the close of entry. 


A limited number of Presidential Invitations to participate in the Women's Amateur Championship may be extended to qualified individuals who are not PNGA members. Individuals seeking a Presidential Invitation must submit a resume to the PNGA office (scotty.crouthamel@thepnga.org) outlining their major accomplishments by June 1, 2019. Presidential Invitations may be granted to both PNGA members and non-PNGA members.

 

Format: The championship will be conducted in two stages:

 

Stroke Play – All players must complete the 36-hole stroke play qualifying. Women's Amateur contestants will qualify in order to determine the 32 players who will advance to match play.

Match Play – The General Numerical Draw will be in effect. Single elimination match play. 36-hole Championship Match in the Women's Amateur and an 18-hole Championship Match in the Mid-Amateur. All other matches are 18-holes.

Age: No age requirements.

Handicap Limit: 12.4

Field Limit: 48. The field will be comprised of the lowest 48 USGA Handicap Indexes or Golf Canada Handicap Factors at the close of entry, in addition to exemptions and Presidential Invitees. Note: The PNGA reserves the right to modify the field limits in conjunction with the PNGA Women's Mid-Amateur Championship to attain a total field size of 96.

Entry Fee: $200 (U.S. Funds)

Entry Deadline: July 1, 2019 at 4:30 p.m. (PDT) 

 

Carts: The use of automotive carts during the championship will not be permitted. Spectator carts will not be permitted.

 

Caddies: A player may provide her own caddie. Host club caddies will not be available.

 

Entry Includes: Guaranteed at least two rounds of championship play, one hosted practice round, warm up range balls each day, tee prize, lunch following round two play, and Kusak crystal awards for top-finishers.

  • Champion earns an exemption into the 119th PNGA Women's Amateur Championship to be played in July of 2020.
