For the first time in history, the Kansas Golf Association we will be using real time scoring provided by Golf Genius Software. The scoring system is different than anything our players have experienced, but sure to enjoy. This will allow for a real-time leaderboard that is viewable to players, spectators and coaches.

 

How It Works:

  • During registration we will ask each player to download the USGA Tournament Management application to their phone.
  • On the starting tee for each round, 1 player will be identified as the live scorer for his/her group.USGA TM APP
  • The live scorer for each group will be given a unique login, or GGID, to score his/her group.
  • This GGID will give the scorer the ability to enter hole-by-hole scores for all players in the group.
  • The app is simple to use and will have limited impact on battery and data usage.

 

**IMPORTANT**

Any player deemed to have entered erroneous scores for any reason will be in breach of the KGA Code of Conduct Policy – Penalty: DISQUALIFICATION

 

Please keep in mind that the USGA Tournament Management application can also be used by parents, spectators and coaches to follow the action live. Posted near the scoring area will be the unique GGID that can be used to login and view the live leaderboard and pairings for future rounds.
