BUTTERFIELD BERMUDA CHAMPIONSHIP LOCAL QUALIFIER 2025
INFORMATION
The 2025 Butterfield Bermuda Championship Qualifier competition will be held at Port Royal Golf Course on Wednesday, October 1st and Thursday, October 2nd, 2025.
Three Bermudian golfers will be offered qualifying spots to compete in Bermuda’s 7th annual PGA TOUR event which falls this November 13th to 16th at its host location, Port Royal Golf Course, Southampton, Bermuda. Further to the three (3) exemptions into the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, the next three finishers will be granted exemption spots into the Butterfield Bermuda APGA Championship which will be held this December 3rd to 5th, 2025 at Port Royal Golf Course. These individuals will also be reserves/alternates for the Butterfield Bermuda Championship field. Seventh, eighth and ninth place finishers will be reserves/alternates for the Butterfield Bermuda APGA Championship.
ELIGIBILITY
Entries are open to Amateur and Professional players and applicants for reinstatement. To be eligible to compete in the local qualifying event, participants must meet the following criteria:
i) Players must possess Bermudian status (email info@bermudagolf.org for details)
ii) Players must be in good standing with the BGA or BPGA and not subject to any disciplinary process or sanction of either association
iii) Amateurs and applicants for reinstatement must have an up-to-date handicap index not exceeding 1.4 under the World Handicap System
Note: A player’s scoring record may not include any scores from before September 1st, 2024
FORMAT
The event is a 36-hole individual stroke play competition. Players will be paired in groups of three and all play will be from the Black tees (6,742 yards; 75.2 / 138).
SCHEDULE
Practice Round - Tuesday, 30th September 2025 - Call pro shop to book a tee time
Round 1 – Wednesday, 1st October 2025 – Tee times will begin at 8:00am
Round 2 – Thursday, 2nd October 2025 – Tee times will begin at 8:00am
All players must complete an entry form which may be found at www.bermudagolf.org. The entry fee for all players is $200.00. Entries without payment will not be accepted.
