50th Illinois State Senior Women’s Amateur Championship


Dates: September 10 – 12, 2019


Location: Bolingbrook Golf Club, Bolingbrook, Illinois


Entry Deadline: Entries will be accepted from the applicants with the lowest handicap indexes until August 15, 2019.  If the field is not full by the entry deadline, late entry requests may be accepted pending approval of the Championship Chair.  The August 15 handicap index will be used to determine the final field and will be used for the championship handicaps.  All entries must be accompanied by a current handicap index card or ID number to assist the Board with determining the August 15 handicap index for each player.  Confirmation of receipt of entry and payment will be posted at iwga.org as well as the final field and waiting list in the event of a full field.  Players on the waiting list will be notified by phone and/or email if they are in position to fill an opening.


Format: 54 holes stroke play with players flighted by age groups to be

determined after close of registration.  The Champion will be the low

gross winner across the field.  Ties for overall Champion will be

determined by sudden-death playoff.  All other ties will be determined

by scorecard playoff.


Eligibility: Entry is open to women amateur golfers who have reached their 50th birthday by the first day of play and have an established USGA 18-hole handicap of 30 or less.  The contestant must maintain a residence in Illinois.


Entry Fee: The entry fee is $240 and includes three championship rounds with cart, one practice round, banquet dinner at Bolingbrook GC, club storage, prizes, and range balls on championship days before play.   Monday, Sept. 9 is the dedicated practice round day.  Practice round carts are optional at a player cost of $25.   The following additional practice rounds dates are available for a reduced rate:  Sept. 3-6: $40 including cart.  Sept. 7-8: $70 including cart.  Advise staff you are a contestant to receive the reduced rate.


Guests are welcome for the banquet dinner at a cost of $38.  Refunds for cancellations prior to August 31 will have a $15 administrative fee deducted.  No refunds will be given after August 31.
