EVENT: Mixed Team Championship
SITE: Sea Island Golf Club (Plantation & Seaside)
DATE: January 31 – February 1, 2026
FIELD SIZE: 60 teams. At the close of entries, the field will be determined by lottery. Lottery details and rules are posted on a separate page under the PLAYER INFORMATION section.
FORMAT: 36 holes of gross and net stroke play
- Round 1: Modified Alternate Shot (Plantation). Handicap allowances: 60% of the low handicap player and 40% of the high handicap player (USGA recommended).
- Round 2: Four-Ball stroke play (Seaside). Handicap allowances: 85% of each player's handicap index (USGA recommended).
ACCOMMODATIONS: Rooms at The Inn at Sea Island are part of your entry fee. Includes:
- One or two rooms (based on registration option)
- Breakfast each morning
- Complimentary parking, Wi-Fi
- On-site heated pool, workout room
- Courtesy BMW vehicle (as available)
- Shuttle transportation to the golf course
- Access to Sea Island Spa (see player information tab for more information)
- Access to other Sea Island properties (The Cloister, Golf Performance Center)
- Upgrade Option: To upgrade to The Lodge, contact Ainsley Mullaney at amullaney@gsga.org or (678) 324-5973 by December 12. Additional $475++ for 2-night stay (double occupancy).
PRACTICE ROUND:
- One practice round per player INCLUDED in entry fee.
- Available two weeks prior to competition. Call 912-638-5118 to reserve after acceptance confirmation (December 4).
- Additional practice rounds available at posted rates. Contact golf shop for arrangements.
CADDIES: Players may provide their own caddie. GSGA’s Cart/Caddie Policy will be in effect (one bag/one butt), either the player or caddie may ride but not both at the same time. Players may also contact Sea Island Golf Club to reserve a club caddie.
- Club Walking Caddie Rate: $50 per bag
- Club Forecaddie Rate: $40 per bag
YARDAGES & TEES: Combination of tee markers and yardages will be used. Practice yardage sheet available after entries close under the Player Information tab on the event portal.
StrackaLine yardage books are available at discounted rates:
- Yardage: $25, Greens: $30, Combo: $35
- Order via provided link under the Player Information tab.
GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE: Open at 7:30 a.m. each day of competition.
STARTING TIMES: Assigned by GSGA and posted on the event portal starting January 26th.
REGISTRATION: No formal on-site registration. Withdrawals must be called or emailed to the Official In Charge listed below.
FOOD SERVICE: Available in clubhouse. Credit cards ONLY.
PRIZES: Trophies are presented to the overall Gross and Net competition winners. Gift cards will be presented to the top TBA for Gross and Net competitions.
REFUND POLICY:
- $60 service charge retained on all refunds prior to entry closing.
- After December 8, withdrawals require medical documentation.
- Local teams: Refund minus $60 service charge.
- Single/Double occupancy: Hotel room fee retained if spot cannot be filled ($460 double / $920 single).
- If replaced by same entry structure team: Refund minus $60 service charge.
