2019 Golfweek Midwest Junior Open

Eligibility requirements: Any junior golfer age 13-19 at the start of the event and is not affiliated with a college golf program.

 

Format: 36 holes stroke play.

 

Divisions: Boys and Girls

 

Tees: Boys play approximately 6,700 yards; Girls play approximately 5,700 yards.

 

Conditions of play: USGA Rules of Golf shall be in effect.

 

Live Scoring: For 2019, all events in the Golfweek Junior Tournament Series presented by USA Today will feature live scoring. Players will relied upon to use their personal hand-held electronic devices to input scores in real time just as is being required at the collegiate level.

 

Entry Fee: $245

 

Tournament registration includes: Two rounds of tournament golf, participation gifts, complimentary lunch Saturday, tournament prizes.

 

Entry Deadline: 5 p.m. Friday, July 19 or until field is full.

 

National Rankings: Golfweek/Sagarin, National Junior Golf Scoreboard

 

 

Schedule of Events:

 

 

Sunday, July 28: Optional Practice Round (not included in entry fee). Players should arrange practice rounds by phoning the golf shop at 812-482-1009.

 

4-6 p.m.: Player registration at the course. Registration is not mandatory, but players will receive tee gifts and other event information.

 

Monday, July 29 First round tee times start off Nos. 1 and 10 at 8:30 a.m. Complimentary deli sandwich lunch available to players.

 

Tuesday, July 30: Final round tee times start off Nos. 1 and 10 at 8:00 a.m. Awards ceremony to follow immediately upon winners being determined.

 

About the Golfweek Junior Tournament Series presented by USA Today: The Golfweek Junior Tournament Series presented by USA Today is now in its 19th year, with this being the seventh editiion of the Midwest Junior Open. All events in the Series are nationally ranked by Golfweek/Sagarin and Junior Golf Scoreboard. The Golfweek International Junior Invitational is the flagship event of the Series and annually boasts of one of the top fields in junior golf and entry is based solely on invitation or though winning another event in the Series.

 

At stake: The top three boys and top two girls of the Golfweek Midwest Junior Open earn an automatic invitations to compete in the prestigious Golfweek International Junior Invitational Nov. 2-3 Florida.

Cancellation and refund policy: Any player who wishes to cancel from the event, must notify Tournament Director Carlton Reese via email, creese@golfweek.com. Players who cancel before June 29, 2019 will receive a full refund less a $15 processing fee. Cancellations that take place from June 29, 2019 to July 15, 2019 will receive a full refund less a $75 cancellation fee. Cancellations that take place after July 15, 2019 will result in no refund.

*Please note: Refunds cannot be processed unless a player cancels via email contact with Carlton Reese. Players who cancel directly through the tournament web site are cleared from the portal and have no means of refund.
