EVENT: 38th Georgia Public Links Championship
SITE: Oak Mountain Golf Club
DATE: August 22-23, 2026
FIELD SIZE: 120 players maximum. The low 72 players based on handicap index as of August 6th will comprise the Championship flight. The remaining 48 players will be selected by lottery and flighted based on handicap index. All players with a handicap index of 4.4 or lower will compete from the Championship tees.
FORMAT: 36 holes of flighted, stroke play.
PRACTICE ROUND:
- One practice round per player.
- Practice round, cart, and range fee is $50 plus tax.
- Available two weeks prior to competition based on availability. Call Oak Mountain GC to reserve after acceptance confirmation.
CADDIES: Players may provide their own caddie. GSGA’s Cart/Caddie Policy will be in effect (one bag/one butt), either the player or caddie may ride but not both at the same time.
YARDAGES & TEES: Combination of tee markers and yardages will be used. Practice yardage sheet available after entries close under the Player Information tab on the event portal. All players with a handicap index of 4.4 or lower will compete from the Championship tees. All other players will play from the tournament tees.

GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE: Open at 6:30 a.m. each day of competition.
STARTING TIMES: Assigned by GSGA and posted on the event portal starting August 17th.
REGISTRATION: No formal on-site registration. Withdrawals must be called or emailed to the Official In Charge listed above.
FOOD SERVICE: Available in clubhouse. Credit cards and cash accepted.
PRIZES: Trophies are presented to the overall winner. Gift cards will be presented to the top TBA places.
EXEMPTIONS: The 2026 National Links Trust Championship, Presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods, will take place October 17-19, 2026 in Washington, D.C. This national championship is exclusively for public-access male and female golfers aged 25 and older. The championship will again be organized in partnership with Anera Sports, a leader in tournament operations and logistics, with DICK’S Sporting Goods returning as the presenting sponsor.
- The event will again be held at the historic Blue Course at East Potomac Golf Links, a 1923 Walter Travis design hosting the 1923 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship. The 2025 competition has been expanded to 54 holes of stroke play competition, making it eligible for World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) points.
- The tournament would like to extend an exemption for the champion of the Georgia Public Links Championship. The NLT Championship is for public players over 25.
- The champion will also be exempt into the 2026 Georgia Mid-Amateur Championship and the 2027 Georgia Amateur Championship.
REFUND POLICY:
- A $30 service charge will be retained by the GSGA on all refunds granted prior to the close of entries.
- Entry fees will not be refunded after entries close unless there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled.
- Withdraws after the close of entries must be made by calling or emailing the Official In Charge listed above.
