METHOD OF PLAY

Seniors: 18-Holes, Individual Stroke Play Qualifier Followed by Top-32 Match Play

Super Seniors: 18-Holes, Individual Stroke Play Qualifier Followed by Top-8 Match Play

 

The defending champion will receive the #1 seed regardless of participation in the qualifying rounds, assuming the player remains eligible for the event.

 

Ties in stroke play qualifying for match play will be decided by a blind draw, except that places of those participating in any playoff will be determined by their performance in the playoff.

 

In the event of a tied match, (a) the winner will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole play-off and (b) the round is deemed to extend to as many holes as are required for a match to be won (Rule 3.2a (4)).

 

Conditions of the playoff will be announced on-site by the OGA Rules Committee.

 

ELIGIBILITY

Eligibility for this event is limited to individuals who meet all of the following criteria:

 

  • Must be male.
  • Must have a residence in the state of Oklahoma.
  • A Handicap Index of 8.5 or less is recommended for participation - Visit Your Local Facility
  • Participants in the Senior Division must be 50 years of age on or before August 10, 2026.
  • Participants in the Super Senior Division must be 65 years of age on or before August 10, 2026.
  • Must have created a Player's Account Through Golf Genius - Register Now
  • Participants must conform to the USGA Rules of Amateur Status.

 

EXEMPTION FROM LOCAL QUALIFYING - USGA U.S. SENIOR OPEN

 

The Champion of the Senior Division of 27th OGA Senior & Super Senior State Amateur Championship will be exempt from local qualifying for the 2027 U.S. Senior Open.

 

ENTRY FEE

$250 per player - Senior Division

$200 per player - Super Senior Division

(Includes Golf, Range, & Cart)
