We put this short informational sheet together to help you understand and enjoy your Men’s Club.

 

Dues: $60.00

 

WSGA Handicap for Non Edgewood Members: $30.00

 

Meetings:

The annual meeting is held the last Saturday in April. The dues for the current year are set and may be paid at that meeting; also, the tentative schedule for the current year is handed out. It is also your opportunity to have input into the club’s activities. The election of officers is held at the last meeting of the year, the final picnic.

 

Signup:

Please fill in your name on next weeks sign up sheet that is located in the pro shop. If you are unable to sign up please call the pro shop as early as possible to request a tee time for the following weeks play. Depending on the time of year, tee times are usually available from 6:52 am to 8:44 a.m. If for some reason you are unable to make your tee time, please notify the pro shop as soon as possible.

 

Events:

We have a number of weekly events that are available to each player. Each member must enter the weekly event, putts and Stroker (Net Skins) currently $12.00. The optional events are: Birdies, Par 3’s, Stroker and No-Stroker (Gross Skins). Maximum cash layout would be $20 is you entered every event. 

 

You may choose to play either White or Gold Tees. Handicap will be adjusted accordingly.

 

Putts:

Usually there a total of 6-8 long putt cards, if you make a putt that is longer than the location of the card, put your name on card and place it at the spot you holed your putt. The last group is responsible for picking up the cards.

 

Par 3’s:

Also known as “Green Balls”, there are 4 green ball flags, if your tee ball is on the green and closer than the previous flag, move the flag to that spot on the green, to be courteous to the following players, measure the distance and place flag in back of the cup. We do not want to stop someone from having a hole in one.

 

Net Skins:

Is a skin game WITH handicap applied, if you have the lowest score on that hole you win.

 

Gross Skins:

Is a skin game with NO handicap applied, if you have the lowest score on that hole you win.

 

Birdies:

If you have a birdie on a hole, you receive dollars based on amount received divided by the number of birdies.

 

Paying for Events:

It is the obligation of the person listed first on the score card to collect the money from each foursome. Money is to be handed to the event chairman as soon as play has been concluded.

 

Event Payoff:

Approximately 95% of all money that is collected each Saturday is paid out. The hold back is kept in the treasury to help pay for free beer days, picnics and prizes.
