EVENT ELIGIBILITY: Pros & Amateurs
- Open to all Amateurs with a current Golf Canada or USGA handicap factor up to 26.0.
- Amateurs compete in 3 separate flights (0-5.0; 5.1 to 10.0 and 10.1 to 26.0) with gross & net prizing.
Starting on Event #3 - To speed up play, maximum net double bogey rule will apply for all Amateur Flights!! The Open Division will continue to play pure stroke play.

ENTRY FEES INCLUDE:
- Golf Course Green Fee ($60)
- Golf Canada Refereeing
- Driving range warm-up ($5)
- Lunch at the turn ($15)
- Flighted Prizing ($25/player)
- The top 25% of the Amateur field earn VGT Gift Cards to use on the VGT Store at www.myvgt.com.
- Amateur Prizing is calculated using alternating gross & net scores in each division.
- Live scoring feature provided by Golf Genius
- Prizing & OOM points will also be earned by Division:
- Championship (5.0 & less) – alternating gross & net
- Division one (5.1 to 10.0) – alternating gross & net
- Division two (10.1 to 26.0) – alternating gross & net
- If we have less than 5 players in either Division 1 or 2, these flights will be grouped together, and the top 1 gross in each division, plus remaining net prizes will win earn prizing. However, points will still be won within their own division.
- Due to limited field sizes, all male and female golfers will compete against each other in the same division and all Senior golfers will compete in their own division vs. non-senior players (see tee-box accommodations below)
- Senior Championship Golfers (5.0 & less) and Female golfers (all) who are playing vs. Male golfers will be allowed to tee-off approximately 12-15% shorter distances to make play equitable.
- Our Division 1 and Division 2 tee length is at around 6,000-6,200 yards in winter, and Senior players in Div.1 and 2 will play same tee length as non-senior Div.1 & 2 players.
- A chance to qualify for Winter Tour Order of Merit points where we will give away $5,000 in BONUS Year-end Prizing! (see below**)
- A chance to qualify for Winter Tour Championship that offers bonus event prizing!!
WINTER TOUR TEE YARDAGES (Approximate)
MALE CHAMP DIVISION: 6,400-6,600 yards
MALE FLIGHT 1, 2 & SENIORS: 6,000-6,200 yards
FEMALE GOLFERS: Will play 10-15% shorter distance vs. men in their own flight.
SKINS GAME & PROGRESSIVE HOLE-IN-ONE JACKPOT: $20.00 entry (optional)
- $15.00 is paid into skins game.
- $5.00 is paid into an escalating Hole-in-one pot! (2 x $5,000 H-I-O’s as of Oct.1st)
- Gross Skins Game: Pros & Championship Amateurs compete in one division
- Net Skins Game: Division 1 and 2 Amateurs compete together for net skins game
HOLE-IN-ONE JACKPOT:
As of October18th we have 2 x $5,000 Hole-in-ones up for grabs!!
The Hole-in-one jackpot will grow until we have a winner on the designated Hole-in-one hole for the day!!
VGT WINTER TOUR EVENT POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:
REGISTRATION & PAYMENT
All players will be required to pay for events in advance online through their golf genius profile. Please register through your golf genius profile, click on Event Calendar, and click on the event you wish to play in. Hit the registration button and confirm online payment.
The registration deadline for each event may vary from course to course, but generally our registration deadline will be 8 days in advance.
If you see an event listed as ‘CLOSED’, and you wish to play, please email info@vancouvergolftour.com with your intent to play and our team will reply if space is available and will open up registration for you to register through your profile.
If you are querying whether you are confirmed from an event, please click on ‘TEE-TIMES’ on the event portal and click “2025/26 Winter Tour” and select the event you are querying about. If your name appears on the Player Roster, you are confirmed in the field!
PLAYER NOTES
- Please note that a $10 charge for Professionals may be in effect for some of our winter tour events for some of the courses that require a $10 donation to their Junior Program in lieu of a green fee. This amount is included in your Professional Entry Fees and will reflect in the purse reducing by that amount per player.
- Event Field Sizes
For a majority of Winter Tour events a full field will consist of 60-72 players
- For events where Pros and Amateurs are invited, the first 20 pros and 52 Amateurs to sign up for each event will make up the field. If the host golf course has limited field sizes (64 or less), the first 16 pros and balance of amateurs will make up the field.
- For Amateur only weekend events, the first 48-72 Amateur members to register will make up the field.
- If by the deadline (8 days out), the field is not filled with either member pros or amateurs, we will allow the balance of the field to consist of any non-member amateurs or pros waiting.
- For all events, members will have priority registration until 8 days out. Non-members are always welcome and will be admitted into the field as long as the events are not full with members as of 8 days out.
Tournament Withdrawal Policy
- All Players must provide at least 8 days notice to qualify for a full refund of their entry. All players must withdraw through their Golf Genius profile (click ‘unregister’ on the app) and send an email to info@vancouvergolftour.com at least 8 days in advance to qualify for a full refund.
- Players who provide less than 8 days notice for their withdrawal but more than 5 days notice (from first tee time start) will qualify for a refund less $50 + GST admin fee. Players who do not provide 5 days notice of their withdrawal, will forfeit their full entry fee.
Pending List Players
Players on the pending list will not be charged for the event fee until they are officially accepted into the field. The pending payment for the event will not be processed on your credit card until you make it into the event. If you fail to get into the field, your pending payment for this event will disappear.
- IMPORTANT NOTE: It is the member’s responsibility to ensure that our email server @golfgenius.com and @vancouvergolftour.com are on their safe senders list and not landing in their junk folder.
- Tournament Cancellations Due to Inclement Weather
- VGT will be responsible for determining if the event will be cancelled due to inclement weather and golf course conditions.
- VGT will email all players as soon as we have determined the golf course is not suitable for play.
- We will attempt to re-schedule any tournament that is cancelled to a suitable date that works for both the Winter Tour Schedule as well as for the golf course. If we cannot find a date in our winter tour to re-schedule an event, all players will be refunded their entry fees in full.
- Purse Payouts
- Payout is 35% of field in the Professional field and 25% of the field in Amateur Flights
- (Amateurs will win VGT Gift Cards that can be accumulated to purchase any of our sponsors’ products by visiting our store at www.myvgt.com.

- Winter Tour Championship Field – Invitation List:
- The top 16 Professionals will qualify to play in the Professional Winter Tour Championship at the beginning of March. An additional 44 Amateurs will be invited to play in this event.
- The Top 10 Amateurs in each flight (Champ, Div.1, Div.2) by end of Feb.15th will qualify for the Amateur Winter Tour Championship in mid March. Standings will be determined by cumulative points earned in VGT Winter Tour Events.
- Twelve “open” spots will be held for non-exempt Amateur members who want to play on a first come, first entered and paid basis for the Amateur Winter Tour Championship.
- Winter Tour Championship: $5,000 in bonus payouts**:
- **Based on full fields, VGT will guarantee year-end bonuses of $5,000 divided between the PRO field and AMATEUR field at the WINTER TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP as follows:
PROFESSIONALS: $2,500 in SEASON-ENDING BONUSES (Members only & based on full Pro fields in the 12 Pro events)
- $2,000 IN ORDER OF MERIT BONUSES!!
- $1,000 in CASH & $1,000 in Apparel paid out to top 3 Order of Merit winners:
- 1st: $1,000 PRIZE – SPONSORED BY 2UNDR ($500 CASH + $500 in 2UNDR apparel)
- 2nd: $550 PRIZE: $300 CASH + $250 in 2UNDR apparel
- 3rd: $450 PRIZE: $200 CASH + $250 in 2UNDR apparel
- $1,000 in CASH & $1,000 in Apparel paid out to top 3 Order of Merit winners:
- $500 IN TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP BONUSES (only Winter Tour members qualify for bonuses)
- $500 in Cash paid out in addition to the regularly budgeted Winter Tour Championship Purse:
