FORMAT

  • 36 Holes, individual, stroke play.
  • Qualifying Spots available: 2   Alternate Spots: 2
  • In the event of a tie for the final qualifying spot or alternate position, there will be a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following play.
  • This is a WALKING ONLY event.  Both players and caddies must walk.

 

ENTRY FEE

  • $200

 

REGISTRATION 

  • To register, go to USGA Championship Application Website.
  • Registration will open on Wednesday, February 11, 2025, at 8:00 am (Central Time) 
  • Deadline is Wednesday, April 1, 2025, at 4:00 pm (Central Time)
  • Maximum field: 84
  • A waitlist will be created and managed by the USGA.

 

ELIGIBILITY

 

STARTING TIMES

  • Round 1: Begin at 8:30 am from #1/10 tees
  • Round 2: Begin at 1:45 pm from #1/10 tees

 

EXPECTED QUALIFYING COURSE SETUP

  • Length: 6,520 yards | Par: 71 | Ratings: 77.3/136
  • Specific hole by hole anticipated setup may be found under the Course Details tab.  The Committee reserves the right to alter yardages based on weather or other conditions impacting play.

 

RULES AND INFORMATION

  • The Rules of Golf, the USGA Terms of Competition (Hard Card), and all Local Rules established specifically for the Qualifying will be in effect. Local Rules for this event will be available under the Course Details tab.  

 

DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES

  • Players are permitted to use distance-measuring devices that measure distance only. 
  • The slope, club recommendation, line of play and other such functions must be disabled.

 

PACE OF PLAY / PLAYER CONDUCT / DRESS CODE

  • Please refer to Resources tab for Qualifying Memo to Players, Notice to Competitors, Pace of Play, Player Conduct and Dress Code policies.

 

CADDIE POLICY 

  • Players may use a Caddie unless prohibited or restricted by a Local Rule.
  • A player is responsible for the behavior and attire of their caddie.
  • Club caddies are available for $100/round + tip; to reserve a caddie, please email "thegolfshop@somersetcountryclub.org"

 

DIGITAL SCORING

  • The official method of scoring will be electronic by use of the Golf Genius Mobile App.  Paper scorecards WILL NOT provided to players for the purpose of scoring.  Players should review the printed and video educational information posted on the Qualifying webpage to be prepared for this process.  Also, players should make sure their mobile devices are fully charged prior to beginning play and to have charging cables for use between rounds.

PRACTICE ROUNDS

  • Rate: $75 for first round; $125 for subsequent rounds walking; carts are $32 per round
  • Times: Wednesdays & Saturdays- 2-6 pm and Thursdays & Fridays - 9a-6p through Wednesday, May 6
  • Please call the Somerset Golf Shop (651) 457-1224 and identify yourself as a US Women's Open contestant to schedule a practice round.

 

LODGING INFORMATION

  • No lodging arrangements have been created.

 

YARDAGE & GREENS BOOKS

  • Participants are allowed to use Yardage & Greens books as long as they conform to the Rules of Golf.

  • To withdraw for any reason, players must notify the USGA directly.
