Desert Mountain Club to host the 11th U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship

from May 16 - 20, 2026

In 2026, Desert Mountain Club is honored to host the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship.  This Championship has been hosted at prestigious clubs including The Olympic Club, Philadelphia Cricket Club and Winged Foot Golf Club with a player field representing 47 states.

We invite you to be part of golf history.  We are looking for passionate golfers to join us in providing a warm and enthusiastic welcome to everyone at Desert Mountain Club for this Championship. The Desert Mountain Club Volunteer Program will be a group of volunteers who will help the Championship Committee by serving as ambassadors in the following key areas:

*Currently seeking volunteers for Wednesday, May 13 - Wednesday, May 20.

Forecaddies – Volunteers will be assigned to each group to walk ahead of golfers to spot and begin the search for golf balls.  A person serving as a Forecaddie will be required to walk all 18-holes each round.  Shifts will be 18 holes in duration and last between four to five hours.

Walking Scorers – Volunteers will be assigned to each group to enter scores into hand-held tablets for every hole to help in the live score reporting process.  Shifts will be 18 holes in duration and last between four and five hours.

Player Services - Volunteers will assist in practice areas, player registration, match play transportation, and course evacuation (if needed).  Shifts will be five to six hours.

U.S. Amateur Four-Ball volunteers must complete the online application and be at least 16 years of age at the time of submission.  The Championship Committee will hold a mandatory role-specific training in May 2026 prior to the Championship.

Desert Mountain Club is excited to provide our volunteers with a unique and exciting experience.  We are seeking approximately 250 dedicated individuals to be part of the Desert Mountain Club Volunteer Program.
