DATES: July 9-12, 2026
FORMAT: Individual Match Play. Players will be placed in Pods of 4 players (pod designation is done randomly). Players will play each other player within their pod in an individual 18 hole match, round robin style. Players will earn 1 point for winning a match in Pod play and 1/2 point for a tie in Pod play. Each player will play three rounds.
The top player from each Pod will move on to a single elimination Match Play Bracket following Pod play.
TIE BREAKING FOR BRACKET: If there is a tie to determine who is moving on to the elimination Match Play Bracket, the tie breaking will be done as follows:
- Head to Head result
- Result against highest ranked opponent within the pod, not involved in tie breaker.
- Random draw
Players will choose the division they wish to compete in (Open Championship, Senior Championship or Field) upon registration. Players must compete in the Open Championship or Senior Championship divisions to be eligible to earn POY points (within the selected age division).
HANDICAPPING: Championship and Senior Divisions will be played at Gross. The field division will be played at NET (100% of the Handicap Index off the low handicap player) as of July 3rd.
Player Seeding: All 16 players will be ranked 1 – 16, based on their handicap index as of the revision date above, excluding the defending champion who will be seeded #1, if applicable.
Pod Assignments/Seeding: Once players have been seeded 1 - 16, players will be drawn at random so that each pod will consist of a player ranked 1 -4 (Player 1), 5-8 (Player 2), 9-12 (Player 3) and 13-16 (Player 4).
FIELD SIZE: 48 players total (16 from each division)
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: July 2, 2026 at 4 p.m.
YARDAGE: Projected yardage is posted on the portal. The yardage is subject to change at the discretion of the AZ GOLF staff.
ELIGIBILITY: Open to all female amateurs who have an active AZ GOLF membership in good standing. All players must also adhere to the Tournament and Player Regulations which can be found HERE.

PAYOUTS: We pay out the top 1/3 of the field with payouts issued as Van’s Golf Shop gift cards; Overall Net will be awarded from the Field Division, Overall Gross from the Championship Division, and flight winners will also be recognized.
PRACTICE ROUNDS: Practice rounds will be available by calling the Wickenburg Ranch Pro Shop. Please mention you are playing in the AZ GOLF event.
PAIRINGS: Tournament pairings will be emailed to participants by end of day July 5, 2026
PRACTICE FACILITY: Will be available one hour prior to play.
CADDIES: Caddies are permitted for the event. They must agree to walk unless there is an available seat in one of the player’s carts. Caddies riding in a cart MUST NOT displace a player.
GOLF CARTS: The use of golf carts is included in the registration fee; however, players are permitted to walk if interested. AZ GOLF Cart policy (maximum of two riders per cart and maximum of two carts per group) will be enforced. Players competing in a match will need to share a cart throughout the competition.
In addition, the following policies will be enforced:
- Spectator carts are not permitted for insurance reasons, NO EXCEPTIONS.
- Carts are assigned only to contestants. A caddie may use a cart only if a contestant is not displaced by such use.
- Restrictions on cart use for players are at the discretion of the Host Site and all players are bound by those requirements, subject to withdrawal for violations of that policy. Any such restrictions will be posted at the tournament site.
- Carts must be kept on paths if available near greens and tees.
- Any non-player riding with a player is considered a caddie and subject to any potential Rules violations.
- Pull carts are permitted as long as not in conflict with the Host Club rules.
WITHDRAW POLICY:
- Players who withdraw prior to the close of registration will receive 100% of the entry fee, regardless of reason, minus a $10 administration fee.
- Players who withdraw after the close of registration will not receive a refund.
Players may withdraw by calling the AZ GOLF office at (602) 944-3035 during normal business hours or calling the Withdraw Line at (602) 944-3035 ext. 428 and leaving a message.
