About SCGA Member Outings

SCGA Member Outings offer members of all skill levels access and opportunities to experience golf in a non-competitive setting at premiere destinations throughout Southern California and abroad. Sign up with friends or join as a single and we’ll handle the rest! Open to all participants with a valid SCGA Membership. A Golf Genius user profile is required during registration. Set one up here if this is your first outing with us.

 

Black Desert Resort

Join us at Black Desert Resort for a truly remarkable golf experience nestled among ancient lava fields and surrounded by vibrant vermilion cliffs. This trip covers six days, five nights, four rounds of golf with practice facility access and shared golf cart at each course, a souvenir gift, a welcome reception, and a final night hosted dinner inclusive of service charges, resort fees, and taxes.

 

Registration Opens: Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 8 a.m.

 

Registration Closes: Friday, November 28, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

Additional rounds may be arranged at your own expense (standard rates apply) after registration closes. The expected pace of play is approximately four hours.

 

MEALS

Welcome Reception (select beer and wine, and appetizers). Breakfast and lunch may be arranged at your own expense. Final night group dinner and drinks. Food and non-alcoholic beverage is included at Black Desert Mountain for that day's round (April 28).

 

LODGING OPTIONS

1. Two Golfers

Double Occupancy Cost Per Person = $2,495

 

2. One Golfer & One Non-Golfer

Non-golfer is included with reception, dinner, gift, and all resort fees/taxes

Double Occupancy Cost = $3,650

 

3. One Golfer

Single Occupancy Cost = $3,395

 

Reservations are based on lodging availability. We encourage members to form their own twosome or foursome prior to signing up as this helps us with pairings. You’ll have the option to pay for your entire group. Your credit card will be charged upon registration.

 

TRAVEL INFORMATION

Participants are responsible for their own transportation to the resort and each golf facility. The nearest airport is SGU in St. George. Las Vegas Airport (LAS) is approximately two hours away and will offer more flexible flight options. For airport and ground transportation information, click here.

REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

Because we commit to resorts and vendors well in advance, our policy helps us manage these obligations fairly and consistently. To cancel or modify your registration for any reason prior to the start of an SCGA Member Outing, participants must notify the SCGA at champs@scga.org or by calling (818) 980-3630.

 

• Cancellation Deadline: November 29, 2025
• Cancellations on or after the deadline are non-refundable unless the vacated spot(s) can be filled from the waitlist.
• All cancellations, including those made before the deadline, are subject to a 10% processing fee, regardless of whether the spot(s) are resold.
• Substitutions: If you wish to transfer your spot to another player, substitutions are allowed at no additional fee, provided the replacement meets all eligibility requirements. Please notify the SCGA in advance to confirm the change.
