EVENT: 3rd C. Layne Williams Invitational

 

SITE: Ansley Golf Club - Settindown

 

DATE: November 14-15, 2026

 

FIELD SIZE: 40 players.  The top 4 players from each of 10 different player of the year categories will be invited to compete.  If a player occupies a spot in multiple categories, they will have the option to choose which set-up they wish to compete in.  The CLW Invitational points lists can be found by clicking on the following link: CLW Invitational Points Lists 

 

FORMAT: 36 holes of all vs. all individual stroke play.

 

PRACTICE ROUND:

 

• TBA

 

CADDIES: Players may provide their own caddie. GSGA’s Cart/Caddie Policy will be in effect (one bag/one butt), either the player or caddie may ride but not both at the same time.

 

YARDAGES & TEES: Combination of tee markers and yardages will be used. Practice yardage sheet available after entries close under the Player Information tab on the event portal.

 

• Yardage books will be provided as part of the player gift. 

 

GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE: Open at 7:30 a.m. each day of competition.

 

STARTING TIMES: Assigned by GSGA and posted on the event portal starting March 10th.

 

REGISTRATION: Formal registration will be held onsite at Ansley GC - Settindown on Saturday, November 14th. Withdrawals must be called or emailed to the Official In Charge listed above.

 

FOOD SERVICE:

 

• Lunch will be provided prior to the start of round 1.

 

• All players are invited to the "Celebration of Champions" event immediately following round 1 to take place at Ansley Golf Club - Intown Club. Separate invitation to come.

 

• Breakfast will be provided prior to the start of round 2.

 

• Lunch will be provided during the play of round 2.

 

PRIZES: Trophies are presented to the overall winners of each division. Gift cards will be presented to the top TBA for each division.

 

REFUND POLICY:

 

• A $30 service charge will be retained by the GSGA on all refunds granted prior to the close of entries.

 

• Entry fees will not be refunded after entries close unless there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled.

 

• Withdraws after the close of entries must be made by calling or emailing the Official In Charge listed above.
