2026 Mississippi Junior Amateur Championship

Entry Fee: $275 ($286 credit or debit)

Registration Deadline: Monday, June 22, 2026

 Eligibility: All participants must be a resident of Mississippi and a MJGA member to play in this event. This event is open to all MS juniors ages 18 and under. Participants must be a bona fide resident of the state of Mississippi for at least 60 days prior to the first round of the tournament.

Format: The tournament is scheduled for 54 holes of individual stroke play for Divisions Boys A,B,C, and Girls 13-18. The tournament is scheduled for 27 holes of individual stroke play(9-holes each day) for Divisions Boys & Girls  D & E Divisions. If conditions necessitate the championship being shortened, it will be done at the conclusion of a stipulated round.

Practice Round: Practice rounds are available on Monday, June 29th. Please contact The Club at Diamondhead (228-255-2918) to schedule practice rounds. The fee for practice rounds is $TBD (without a cart) or $TBD (w/cart). That fee is to be paid directly to The Club @ Diamondhead.

Championship Divisions: Boys A (16-18), Boys B (14-15), Boys C (12-13), Boys D (10-11), Boys E (9 & under), Girls A (16-18), Girls B (13-15), Girls D (10-12), Girls E (9 & under)

Exemptions: Boy's & Girl's Overall Champion will receive an exemption into the 2026 US Boy's Jr Amateur and 2026 US Girl's Jr Amateur Championship.

Player Registration: There will be a player check in on Monday June 29th. There players will receive their tee gift from the MGA. Players not able to check in on Monday will receive their tee gift at scoring on Tuesday following round 1.

Player Food & Beverage: Players may make purchases for lunch in the grill using cash or credit. The grill area will be open all days for players to purchase drinks and snacks.

Cart Fees: Players are required to walk for this event

Spectator Carts: Spectator Carts will be on a first come first serve basis. Spectators will need to pay host club directly for use of the cart. 

Caddies: Caddies are only permitted for Divisions Boys and Girls D & E during the championship. Players are responsible for supplying their own caddie.

Pairings: Pairings for the opening round will be released and updated on the MGA website by Tuesday, June 23rd. Pairings will also be included in the Player Information that will be emailed to each player by Tuesday, June 23rd.

Electronic Measuring Devices: Electronic devices that measure distance only are permitted for this championship. 

Withdrawal Policy: In the event of a tournament withdraw; the player must notify the Mississippi Golf Association Office at 601-939-1131. If withdraw is made prior to tournament deadline, the player may receive a refund regardless of reason less a $25 administrative fee. For a withdraw made after the entry deadline, the player WILL NOT receive a refund unless the player has experienced a sudden illness or injury, a signed Doctor's note is provided, and only if the
