2026 Women’s State Amateur & Senior Amateur Championship Information
Eligibility for Women’s State Amateur: The Women's State Amateur is open to female amateurs who are residents of the State of Mississippi for at least 60 days prior to July 21st, 2026. All participants in Mississippi Golf Association State Championships are required to have an active GHIN Number through a Licensed Mississippi Member Club.
Eligibility for Women’s Senior Amateur: This championship is open to female amateurs who have reached 50 years of age by the first round of the championship. Amateurs must be bona fide residents of Mississippi for at least 60 days prior to the first round of the championship. Competitors are required to have an active GHIN Handicap through a USGA Licensed Mississippi Club. All must conform with the USGA Rules of Amateur Status.
Format: The Women’s State Amateur is scheduled for 54 holes of individual stroke play. The Women’s Senior Amateur is scheduled for 36 holes of individual stroke play. If conditions necessitate the championship being shortened, it will be done at the conclusion of a stipulated round. The Women's Senior and Grand Lady Divisions will be flighted after 18-holes of play.
Practice Round: Practice rounds are available anytime before Monday, July 20th, 2026 for Women’s State Amateur players. Practice rounds for Women’s Senior/Grand Lady are available anytime before Monday, July 20th and available on July 21st of 2026. Practice rounds will be a discounted rate of $27 to be paid directly to the Patrick Farms Golf Club. Please contact Patrick Farms Golf Club (601-664-0304) to schedule practice rounds.

Championship Divisions: Women’s State Amateur - app.5,800 to 6,000 yards
Women’s Senior Amateur – app. 4,850 yards
Women’s Grand Lady – fairway tees
Player Check-In: There will be no player checking, players will receive their tee gift at scoring after the first round.
Clubhouse: Players will be able to purchase Food & Drink inside the clubhouse using cash or credit.
MGA Provided Player Food & Beverage: There will be an awards luncheon immediately following play on Thursday July 23rd

Cart Fees: All cart and green fees are included in the tournament entry fee.

Spectator Carts: Spectator carts will not be permitted during this championship with the exception of a spectator who can provide an issued and active Handicap Permit. Final decision will be made by the MGA Staff and also the availability of carts at the host facility.
Caddies: Caddies are permitted during the championship. Players are responsible for supplying their own caddie.

Pairings: Pairings for the opening round will be released and updated on the MGA website by Wednesday, July 15th. Pairings will also be included in the Player Information that will be emailed to each player by Wednesday, July 15th.
Electronic Measuring Devices: Electronic devices that measure distance only are permitted for this championship.
Withdrawal Policy: In the event of a tournament withdraw; the player must notify the Mississippi Golf Association Office at 601-939-1131. If withdraw is made prior to tournament deadline, the player may receive a refund regardless of reason less a $25 administrative fee. For a withdraw made after the entry deadline, the player WILL NOT receive a refund unless the player has experienced a sudden illness or injury, a signed Doctor's note is provided, and only if the Mississippi Golf Association is notified prior to the first round of the tournament.
