Casa de Campo Hard Card - Local Rules & Terms of the Competition - 

 

 

The Rules of Golf as approved by the United States Golf Association and The R&A govern play. These Local Rules and Terms of the Competition are in effect at all Casa de Campo Events. See applicable documents for each event. Complete text of the Rules and Local Rules may be found in the Official Guide to the Rules of Golf, effective January 2019.

 

ALL GOLF COURSES

Out of Bounds - Defined by the line between the course-side points, at ground level, of white stakes and fence posts, or rockwalls and public roadways. A ball which crosses a public pathway/roadway area defined as out of bounds and comes to rest beyond that area is out of bounds, even if it comes to rest on another part of the course that is in-bounds for other holes. (Model Local Rule A-3).

Penalty Areas - When a penalty area is defined on only one side, it extends to infinity. When a penalty area is connected to the out-of-bounds edge, the penalty area extends to and coincides with out of bounds.  Where the edge of a PA is not defined by stakes, lines or dots, the edge of the PA is defined as being beyond the retaining wall.

Immovable Obstructions - include is granted from interference to stance or swing is caused by either paved or gravel paths, rock walls, and railroad ties. Relief must be taken in the same playing conditions, When taking relief under Rule 16.1, the player must not cross over or through the immovable obstruction.

Immovable Obstructions Close to or On the Putting Green (e.g. Sprinkler Heads) Relief from interference by an immovable obstruction may be taken under Rule 16.1. In addition, if a ball lies off the putting green but not in a hazard and an immovable obstruction is on or within two club-lengths of the putting green and is within two club-lengths of the ball and intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may take relief according to Model Local Rule F-5.

Integral Parts of the Course - Wires, cables, wrappings or other objects where they are closely attached to trees or other permanent objects.

Natural Sandy Areas - Are marked with BLUE stakes and are considered “general area.” 

Practice between holes or prior to play in Stroke Play - Rule 5.5b is modified by Model Local Rule I-2. Between the play of two holes, a player must not make any practice stroke on or near the putting green of the hole just completed. Practice on any green prior to play is not permitted. 5.2b

Pace of Play - (Rule 5.6 Unreasonable Delay) Pace of Play Policy is in effect and Model Local Rules K1, K2, K5 are in effect.

 

TEETH OF THE DOG

Drop Zones Hole #5, #7, and #16 - DZ’s located at the Red Teeing Areas may be used as an additional option (Rule 17).

Natural Sandy Areas - Are marked with BLUE stakes and are considered “general area.” 

Aqueduct across #10 fairway - Is an Immovable Obstruction.

Alternate putting greens on Hole #5 and #8 are considered No Play Zone. Players must take complete relief.

Out of Bounds on Hole #18 - Exception to Local Model Rules A-3. The public road by the Tee is not considered Out of Bounds.

#3 & #4- RPA along sea even though marked yellow

#6 - RPA left of PG even though marked yellow

 

 

 

DYE FORE

Out of Bounds is defined by stone walls, private property lines on the perimeter of the golf courses, white stakes and lines.  

Drop Zones Hole #15 - DZ located on the far side of the RPA may be used as an additional option (Rule 17).

 

 

LINKS

Out of Bounds is defined by public roads, rock walls, and white stakes. Objects that define out of bounds, such as walls, are not obstruction and are not deemed to be fixed. Players are not entitled to relief from these objects.
