Team Makeup & Selections

• THIS EVENT IS INVITATION ONLY
  • Eastern Kentucky vs Western Kentucky
  • 18 total players on each team selected from the 2025 POY rankings
  • Both teams have a playing captain and are selected by the president of the KGA
    • John C Owens - 4 players for each side
    • Tom Musselman - 4 players for each side
    • Dale Barnstable - 4 players for each side
    • Don Smith - 4 players for each side
  • Captain Picks
    • 2 players for each side from the John C Owens POY
      • Captains must have played in at least TWO KGA events in 2025
• I-65 is the dividing line. Any county that touches I-65 goes to the west
  • This includes Jefferson and Warren counties

Team Uniforms

• Each player will receive a golf polo provided by the KGA. Each team will have their own color and teams will communicate the specific color of their shorts/slacks for the event.

Format / Tee Times

• Three 9 hole matches (all will be a shotgun start)
  • 1st Nine (8:30 AM ET) - Two-Person Scramble
  • 2nd Nine (11:30 AM ET) - Four-Ball
  • 3rd Nine (3:00 PM ET) - Odd/Even Alternate Shot

• NOTE: Players will be repaired after each 9

Schedule of Events

• Sunday, April 26th
  • Pairings Party
  • 5:30 PM ET start with appetizers provided by the KGA. Players will pay for their own drinks
• Monday, April 27th
  • 8:00 AM ET - team pictures
  • 8:30 AM ET - shotgun on the front nine
  • 11:30 AM ET - shotgun on the back nine
• Lunch - 2:00 - 3:00 PM ET 
  • 3:00 PM ET - Modified shotgun on the back nine (4 groups off hole #10)
  • 5:00 PM ET - Trophy Presentation

Scoring

• Each hole will be worth one total point
  • The match winner will also receive one point
  • No team can score more than 7 points in a match
• East Team needs 135 points to retain the cup | West Team needs 135.5 points to win the cup

• GOLD TEES: 6617 yards | Par 72 | 72.4 |135

• NEW IN 2026: DIGITAL SCORING WILL BE THE OFFICIAL SCORECARD FOR ALL KGA EVENTS
  • Players MUST have the app downloaded on their phone: Apple | Android
  • Every player will be emailed their personal GGID to keep score

• Practice rounds will be available the day before ONLY (Sunday, April 26th)
  • After 1pm
  • Fee: $64 including a cart

• Carts are included for all players
  • There will be NO caddies allowed for this event
