EVENT: 67th Georgia Girls' Championship

 

SITE: Doublegate Country Club

 

DATE: June 22-24, 2026

 

FIELD SIZE: Low 78 entries by USGA Handicap Index.

 

FORMAT: 54 holes of individual stroke play.  

 

PRACTICE ROUND:

 

  • One practice round per player. Please call Doublegate CC to book a practice round.

 

  • Practice round, cart, and range fee is $50 plus tax. 

 

  • Monday - Thursday, based on availability

 

  • Friday - Sunday, after 2:00pm based on availability

 

CADDIES/SPECTATOR CARTS: Push/pull carts are allowed. This is a walking-only Championship. Caddies are specifically prohibited. Spectator carts will not be available due to player evacuation and staff/volunteer cart needs from GSGA and the host club.

 

YARDAGES & TEES: Combination of tee markers and yardages will be used. Practice yardage sheet available after entries close under the Player Information tab on the event portal.

 

  • Yardage books will be provided as part of the player tee gift.

 

GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE: Open at 6:30 a.m. each day of competition.

 

STARTING TIMES: Assigned by GSGA and posted on the event portal starting June 25th.

 

REGISTRATION: There will be no formal registration. Withdrawals must be called or emailed to the Official In Charge listed above.

 

FOOD SERVICE: Players, parents, or spectators can purchase food in the restaurant during the championship. Credit Cards and Cash are accepted. 

 

PRIZES: The winner shall receive their name engraved on the Nanci Bowen perpetual trophy and will receive a trophy to take home.  The top 6 players overall will receive prizes.

 

 

EXEMPTIONS/INVITATIONS:

 

  • GA/SC Girls' Junior Challenge Match: The top SIX finishers in the Georgia Girls’ Championship will qualify to participate in the Georgia-South Carolina Girls’ Junior Challenge Match on August 1-2 at Augusta Country Club in Augusta, Ga. The 7th and 8th place finishers will be 1st and 2nd alternates.  Details will be distributed at the conclusion of the championship.  Players must be at least 14 years of age to qualify for the team.

 

  • The winner shall be exempt into the 2026 U.S. Girls' Junior Championship, a USGA Official Exemption Event.

 

  • Kiltie Cup: Players will receive points towards the Kiltie Cup points standing based on their performance int he Girls' Championship. 

 

REFUND POLICY:

 

  • A $30 service charge will be retained by the GSGA on all refunds granted prior to the close of entries.

 

  • Entry fees will not be refunded after entries close unless there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled.

 

  • Withdraws after the close of entries must be made by calling or emailing the Official In Charge listed above.
