2026 Men's Mid-Amateur Championship  Information

Entry Fee: $350 ($364 credit or debit) Men's Division

               
Registration Deadline: Friday, October 30th @ 5PM

Eligibility: Open to Male and Female Amateurs who have reached their 25th birthday. Competitors are required to have an active GHIN Handicap through a USGA Licensed Mississippi Golf Association Member Club. Competitors must be bona fide residents of Mississippi for at least 60 days prior to the first round of the Championship. All must conform with the USGA Rules of Amateur Status.

Format: The Mid-Amateur Championship is scheduled for 54 holes(Men's Division). The field size is limited to the first 96 players. The Men's Division will be flighted after 36-Holes. 

Practice Round: One practice round is available per player. Practice rounds are available on Thursday, November 5th. Please contact Canebrake Country Club (601-271-2010) to schedule practice rounds. Practice round fee is $TBD per player and includes cart.

Championship Divisions & Yardages: Men (25+) - app. 6,400 yards

Player Check-In: TBD

Player Food & Beverage: At this time there will be no Food & Beverage provided for this Championship. Players may make purchases in the grill using cash or credit.

Cart Fees: All cart and green fees are included in the tournament entry fee.

Spectator Carts: Spectator carts will not be permitted during this championship with the exception of a spectator who can provide an issued and active Handicap Permit. Final decision will be made by the MGA Staff and also the availability of carts at the host facility.

Caddies: Caddies are permitted during the championship. Players are responsible for supplying their own caddie. * MGA Cart Policy - there will be a maximum of 2 carts per group and 2 individuals per cart. *

**Caddies must walk at all times.**

Pairings: Pairings for the opening round will be released and updated on the MGA website by Monday, November 2nd. Pairings will also be included in the Player Information that will be emailed to each player by Monday, November 2nd.

Electronic Measuring Devices: Electronic devices that measure distance only are permitted for this championship.

Withdrawal Policy: In the event of a tournament withdraw; the player must notify the Mississippi Golf Association Office at 601-939-1131. If withdraw is made prior to tournament deadline, the player may receive a refund regardless of reason less a $25 administrative fee. For a withdraw made after the entry deadline, the player WILL NOT receive a refund unless the player has experienced a sudden illness or injury, a signed Doctor's note is provided, and only if the Mississippi Golf Association is notified prior to the first round of the tournament.
