Tournament Summary

Format: 36-Holes Individual Stroke Play

Eligibility: Players must be eighteen (18) years of age or younger on the final day of the National Championship

Qualifying Spots: The overall champion and runner-up in both divisions will qualify for the The 50th Boys & Girls Junior PGA Championships.

 

 

ENTRY FEE:

$210

  • Late entries are received up to 48 hours after the deadline and are subject to a $50 late fee.
  • Withdrawals made before the entry deadline will receive a full refund, minus a 5% processing fee.
  • Withdrawals made after the entry deadline but at least 48 hours before the event start date will receive a 50% refund.
  • Withdrawals made within 48 hours of the event start date will not be eligible for a refund.
 

FORMAT:

  • 36-Holes Individual Stroke Play
 

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Players must be eighteen (18) years of age or younger on the final day of the National Championship (July 28, 2026).
  • Players must be amateurs as defined by the USGA and may not be full-time college students.
  • Open to any junior within the North Florida PGA borders.
  • Players are NOT allowed to compete for an exemption in more than one Section.
 

QUALIFYING SPOTS:

  • The overall champion and runner-up in both divisions will qualify for the The 50th Boys & Girls Junior PGA Championships.
 

FIELD SIZE:

  • Boys: Up to 51 players
  • Girls: Up to 33 players

AWARDS:

Trophies will be awarded to the top two places in each of the following divisions:

  • Boys 12-18 
  • Girls 12-18 
 

AJGA PBE STATUS:

  • BOYS: Champion - 4 Performance Stars, Top 20% - 1 Performance Star (less than 40 in field), Top 20% - 2 Performance Stars, Top 50% - 1 Performance Star (40 or more in field)
  • GIRLS: Champion - 4 Performance Stars, Top 20% - 1 Performance Star (less than 30 in field), Top 20% - 2 Performance Stars, Top 50% - 1 Performance Star (30 or more in field)
 

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

  • Monday, July 6
    • 8:00 AM - Round 1 (Double Tee Start)
  • Tuesday, July 7
    • 8:00 AM - Round 2 (Double Tee Start)

  

YARDAGES:

  • Boys: Approximately 6,750 yards
  • Girls: Approximately 5,650 yards
 

PRACTICE ROUND INFORMATION:

  • TBD

 

PLAYOFFS:

  • All ties for first place in the Boys' and Girls' divisions will be decided by a sudden-death playoff, conducted immediately following play of that division, beginning on a hole determined by the Committee. All other ties will be resolved by a scorecard playoff, using the USGA-recommended method. The winner will be determined based on the total score for the last nine holes (holes 10–18); if still tied, the last six holes (13–18); if still tied, the last three holes (16–18); and if still tied, the score on the final hole (18th).
 

CADDIES:

  • Players must walk at all times during a stipulated round. Caddies are not permitted during the competition. Participants must carry their own clubs or pull/push carts.
  • NOTE: For safety reasons, on holes which the committee is providing/permitting player transportation a person (i.e. parent/spectator) may assist with the player transportation of his/her pull cart. 
 

SPECTATOR CARTS:

  • Spectator carts will be available on a first come, first serve basis for $45 per round.
 

SPECTATOR CODE OF CONDUCT:

  • Spectators agree to remain on the cart path at all times.
  • Spectators agree to refrain from having any contact with players during their Championship rounds.
  • Spectators agree to defer the review and enforcement of rules decisions to the PGA Rules Committee Members.
  • Spectators agree to abstain from caddying during Championship rounds.
  • Spectators agree to demonstrate sportsmanship, respect, and a positive attitude.
  • Spectators agree to abide by any rules and regulations of the host facility (dress code, cell phone policy, etc).
  • Failure to comply with the spectator code of conduct can result in the immediate removal of the individuals involved for the remainder of the Championship. Warnings may not be issued pending the severity of conduct breach.
