Qualifiers:

Odessa National - Monday, July 27, 2026

Plantation Lakes - Monday, August 3, 2026

 

Registration Opens: June 15 at 9 a.m.

Registration Closes: July 13 at 11:59 p.m.

 

Registration Fee: $75 qualifying fee per player; players who successfully qualify will be required to remit an additional Championship fee ($175 amateurs, $200 professionals). The fee for exempt players is $175 (am) and $200 (pro). 

 

Amateur Eligibility: Open to GAP members with a Handicap Index of 7.0 or lower

 

Professional Eligibility: Open to golf professionals who live in the State of Delaware, or who are employed by/affiliated with a historic DSGA member club. For questions regarding eligibility, please contact Director of Championship Administration, Laura Heien (lheien@gapgolf.org).

 

Format: 54-hole individual stroke play, two-day event. All players will play 18 holes on Day One. The low 36 scores and ties will advance to Day Two, when the final two rounds will be played.

 

Ties: Ties for the overall Championship will be decided by a sudden-death playoff.

 

Exemptions Earned from this Tournament: 

Winner - 10-year exemption for the Delaware Open

Top 25 & ties - Exempt for next year's Delaware Open Championship

 

Carts & Caddies: Cart fees are included in the entry fee. A player bring a caddie for any round of the Championship, however only one seat in the golf cart is guaranteed during Round One. During Round Two and Round Three, both the player and his/her caddie may ride. 

 

Practice Rounds:  Practice round information will be available two weeks prior to the Championship.

Event Schedule & Starting Times

Day One: Tee times beginning on No.1, groups of three

Field cut to the low 36 scores and ties

Day Two:  Round 2: Tee times based on score beginning on No. 1 - Leaders last, groups of two

All players will have a break between rounds of approximately 45 minutes (lunch provided for players)

Round 3: Tee times based on score beginning at approximately 12:45 p.m. off No. 1 - Leaders last, groups of two
