EVENT: 105th Georgia Amateur Championship
SITE: Ocean Forest Golf Club
DATE: June 11-14, 2026
FIELD SIZE: 144 players.
FORMAT: 72 holes of Individual Stroke Play. There will be a cut to low 60 players and ties after 36 holes.
PRACTICE ROUND:
- One practice round per player.
- Practice round fee is $50 plus tax. The practice round is walking only, similar to the competition rounds.
- Registration for practice rounds on Wednesday June 10th will take place through Golf Genius. An invitation from Golf Genius will be sent prior to the registration opening on May 29.
- If not playing a practice round on June 10, they are available two weeks prior to competition based on availability. Call Ocean Forest GC to reserve after acceptance confirmation.
CADDIES: Players may provide their own caddie. This is WALKING ONLY championship, so players and caddies must walk at all times. Push carts are permitted. Caddies are available for hire from the host club by contacting the James Butler, Caddie Master by email at: oceanforest@caddiemaster.org The fee for a club caddie is $200/day plus gratuity. The cut-off date for reserving a club caddie is June 4.
YARDAGES & TEES: GSGA tee markers and yardages will be utilized for the championship. Yardages are approximate and may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other factors that may affect the playing conditions during the competition. There is a practice yardage sheet under the Player Information tab. StrackaLine yardage books will be provided to players at registration.
Additional StrackaLine yardage book options are available at a 20% discounted rate. Order via provided link under the Player Information tab.
GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE: Open at 6:30 a.m. the day of competition. Club PT will be on-site throughout the championship providing stretching and physio services to players near the practice facilities.
STARTING TIMES: Assigned by GSGA and posted on the event portal approximately June 5th.
REGISTRATION: Formal registration will be held on Wednesday, June 10 from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. If you are not able to register in person during this time, please call GSGA to confirm you will be playing in round one on Thursday.
WELCOME PARTY: A Championship Welcome Party will be held on Wednesday, June 10 from approximately 6:30-8:30 p.m. All players are welcome and may bring one guest at no additional charge. For any additional guests please contact GSGA in advance. This event will be held at Ocean Forest GC. Locker room facilities with showers will be available. Dress code for this event is come as you are (golf attire, club casual, no t-shirts or jeans please). Dinner and drinks will be provided. A brief program will begin around 7:15 p.m. All players are encouraged to attend.
FOOD SERVICE: Food service will be available throughout the Championship. A complimentary breakfast and lunch buffet will be provided for players and caddies courtesy of GSGA throughout the Championship Wednesday-Sunday. Credit cards are accepted for miscellaneous food and beverage purchases throughout the Championship in the clubhouse. Credit cards only are accepted at the Halfway House. Spectators may purchase F&B from the Halfway House. Clubhouse meals are provided for players, caddies, GSGA staff and volunteers and club volunteers only.
HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS: Players should reference the TRAVEL INFO section of the event portal for special group block reservation links that have been set-up at The Inn at Sea Island.
PRIZES: Trophies are presented to the overall winner. Gift cards to the Ocean Forest golf shop will be presented to the top 20 finishers and ties. Additional exemptions are listed on the event portal home page.
REFUND POLICY:
- A $30 service charge will be retained by the GSGA on all refunds granted prior to the close of entries.
- Entry fees will not be refunded after entries close unless there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled.
- Withdraws after the close of entries must be made by calling or emailing the Official In Charge listed above.
