FORMAT

  • 18 Holes, individual, stroke play.
  • Qualifying Spots available: TBD    Alternate Spots: 2 (The USGA will notify us of the number on July 12.)
  • In the event of a tie for the final qualifying spot or any alternate position, there will be a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following play using Holes #10 and 9.

 

ANTICIPATED STARTING TIMES

  • 8:30-10:30 am, #1 tee

 

EXPECTED QUALIFYING COURSE SETUP

  • Length: 7,138 yards | Par: 72 | Ratings: 74.7/144
  • Specific hole by hole anticipated setup may be found under the Course Details tab.
  • NOTE: For those of you familiar with the normal setup, it is anticipated that Hole #8 will be played from the Black (Tournament) teeing area of Hole #1, playing about 30 yards longer. There may be other adjustments pending on weather conditions.

 

RULES AND INFORMATION

  • The Rules of Golf, the USGA Terms of Competition (Hard Card), and all Local Rules established specifically for the Qualifying will be in effect. Local Rules for this event will be available under the Course Details tab.  

 

DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES

  • Players are permitted to use distance-measuring devices that measure distance only. 
  • The slope function must be disabled.

 

PACE OF PLAY / PLAYER CONDUCT / DRESS CODE

  • Please refer to Resources tab for Pace of Play, Player Conduct and Dress Code policies.

 

CADDIE POLICY 

  • Players may use a Caddie unless prohibited or restricted by a Local Rule.
  • A player is responsible for the behavior and attire of their caddie.

 

DIGITAL SCORING

  • Scoring will be done by use of the Golf Genius App. Players should have the app downloaded on their phones and be prepared to keep score. The player GGID will be sent via text and email to all players the night before each round using the cell phone number and email in their profile. 

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS

  • Practice rounds will be available at the players' expense for $50+tax anytime.
  • Please call the Dacotah Ridge Golf Shop (507) 697-8050 and identify yourself as a US Amateur contestant to schedule a practice round.

 

YARDAGE & GREENS BOOKS

  • Participants are allowed to use Yardage & Greens books as long as they conform to the Rules of Golf.

CANCELATIONS & REFUNDS

  • To withdraw for any reason, players must notify the USGA directly.
