2026 AZ Golf Interclub

Interclub is a fun and competitive series where groups of four well matched clubs play series of matches against each other in a net Nassau Four-Ball format, giving players the opportunity to represent their home course, play other courses, and enjoy social and competitive golf.

 

DATES:  Regular season begins January 15th and ends the week of February 26th. Playoffs will begin the following week. 

The expected day for matches is Thursday afternoon. 

 

FORMAT: Net Nassau Four-Ball Matches

 

FIELD SIZE:  4 players each week (unlimited roster size)

 

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  Friday, December 5, 2025 at 4 p.m.

 

YARDAGE: AZ Golf recommends that a yardage range of approximately 5,000 – 5,500 yards. The team captain should communicate the yardage prior to the match.

                                                                                   

ELIGIBILITY:  Players must be 21 years of age or older to be eligible to compete. Participants must have a current Handicap Index of 36.4 or lower. Players with an index greater than these limits are still eligible to play, but their index will be reduced to the maximum Handicap Index (36.4) for any match they play. Each player must have 10 scores posted by December 31st, 2025.

HANDICAPS: Per USGA’s handicap allowance recommendation for Four-Ball match play, all players will play to 90% of their Course Handicap, using their current Handicap Index (or a reduction thereof). The current Handicap Index is defined as the player’s Handicap Index as of the Monday before each match.

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS: Members of the visiting team (the players projected to participate in the match) should be given the opportunity to play one practice round prior to all regular season and playoff matches, based on course availability. Practice round availability and costs (if any) should be relayed to all team captains in the group prior to the start of the season.                                                             

 

CADDIES: In the event caddies are made available by the host facility, an equal number of caddies must be made available for each team. If facility policy requires the use of a caddie, each team must abide by facility policy. Caddies are not permitted during the Championship (unless agreed upon between both clubs).

 

GOLF CARTS: Golf carts should be permitted subject to the rules and regulations of the host facility. A facility may prohibit the use of carts in which case the rules and regulations of the facility will apply.
