EVENT: 107th Georgia Match Play Championship
SITE: Old Toccoa Farm
DATE: July 26 - July 29, 2026
FIELD SIZE: Maximum of 64 players.
FORMAT: A total of 64 players competition in match play format as follows:

Saturday, July 25th - Practice Rounds
-
Sunday, July 26th - First two rounds of pod play (a.m. & p.m.)

Monday, July 27th - Final round of pod play (a.m.), Playoffs (p.m.)

Tuesday, July 28th - Round of 16 (a.m.), Quarterfinals (p.m.)

Wednesday, July 29th - Semifinals (a.m.), Championship Match (p.m.)
Players must have a USGA Handicap Index® of 10.0 or lower to be eligible to register for GSGA statewide qualifying. Any player posting a score of 15 or more strokes above the Course Rating, or who fails to complete a round for reasons other than injury (ex. NC), will be subject to review by GSGA’s Championship Committee and may be suspended from future competitions for a to be determined period of time.
PRACTICE ROUND:
- One practice round per player.
- Practice round, cart, and range fee is $50 plus tax.
- Available two weeks prior to competition based on availability. Call Old Toccoa Farm to reserve after acceptance confirmation if wanting to have a practice round two weeks prior.
- Practice rounds will also be available in a blocked set of times on Saturday, July 25th
CADDIES: Players may provide their own caddie. GSGA’s Cart/Caddie Policy will be in effect (one bag/one butt), either the player or caddie may ride but not both at the same time.
YARDAGES & TEES: The GSGA tee markers and yardages will be utilized for the qualifying round. Yardages are approximate and may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other factors that may affect the playing conditions during the competition. Yardages can be found under the player information tab.
StrackaLine yardage book options are available at a 20% discounted rate. Order via provided link under the Player Information tab.
GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE: Open at 7:00 a.m. the day of competition.
STARTING TIMES: Assigned by GSGA and posted on the event portal after the close of entries.
POD PLAY: All players in the group will play a match versus each other player in their group in rounds one through three of the Championship.
- The winner of each match will receive one (1) point
- Tied matches result in each player receiving a (0.5) half point
- The player with the most points after three rounds will advance to the round of 16 from the group
- In the event of a two way tie in the group after three rounds, the tiebreaker will be the result of the head to head match.
- If there was a head to head tie match or a three way tie, those players will have a sudden death stroke play play-off to determine who will advance.
REGISTRATION: No formal on-site registration. Withdrawals must be called or emailed to the Official In Charge listed above.
FOOD SERVICE: Available in clubhouse. Credit cards ONLY.
WITHDRAWS IN POD PLAY: If a player withdraws without completing all three matches, in equity to the group, all points will be forfeited by the withdrawn player. Additionally, players who withdraw without completing all three matches in pool play without valid reason may be subject to a $150 penalty payable to the GSGA Foundation before their entry will be accepted into any future GSGA Championship. If a player withdraws before the third pod play match and will not factor into the final pod standings and who advances to the elimination brakcet, that player may NOT be subject to the penalty. Any players wishing to withdraw during pod play must consult with the Official in Charge regarding the potential for any penalty to be enforced.
REFUND POLICY:
- A $30 service charge will be retained by the GSGA on all refunds granted prior to the close of entries.
- Entry fees will not be refunded after entries close unless there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled.
- Withdraws after the close of entries must be made by calling or emailing the Official In Charge listed above.
