QUALIFYING FORMAT

• 18-holes, individual, stroke play.
• Qualifiers will be the players with the lowest total. In the event of a tie for Qualifying/Alternate spots, there will be a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following play.
• Qualifying sites are limited to 84 players.

 

ENTRY FEE

• Qualifying Fee $110.00
• Championship Fee $125.00
• Exempt Player Fee $235
   

REGISTRATION 

• Registration will open on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.  
• Deadline is Wednesday, July 22, 2026, 11:59 PM
• An Exemption List has been created, and spots will be held for those players through the registration deadline.  

 

ANTICIPATED STARTING TIMES

• Qualifying will be held in the morning at selected golf courses. Typically, we will start playing at 7:30 AM for courses in the metro area, outside the metro, play will begin at 8:00 AM.  If a course has over 54 players, we will request play to begin on holes #1 and #10. This is at the option of the host facility.

ELIGIBILITY

Entry is open to any amateur golfer:
(1) Who is an MGA Associate Member,
(2) Who has an active Minnesota Handicap Index® that does not exceed 6.4 at the time of entry, and
(3) Whose Minnesota Handicap Index® is active, effective the first day of competition for the player (qualifying or championship).

 

• An entry may be rejected at the discretion of the Committee at any time, including after the competition has closed.

 

      NOTE: For eligibility purposes, an MGA Associate Member through the MGA Join On-Line (JOL) program must have a Minnesota connection in addition to JOL membership to participate. Examples of connections would be an MN resident (permanent or seasonal), a non-resident student at a MN school, and/or a MGA course connection, validated by a course employee and/or score posting record. The Committee's decision on such a connection and eligibility is final.
