EVENT: 2026 Georgia Senior Women's Match Play Championship

 

SITE: Braelinn Golf Club

 

DATE: July 27-29, 2026

 

FIELD SIZE: 32 Players

 

FORMAT:

Players will be placed into flights and then randomly drawn into pods of TBD players each for each flight (depending on entry numbers).  Each player will be guaranteed to play three matches in their pod.  Nassau scoring will be utilized in pod play where one point will be awarded for a win and 1/2 point will be awarded for a tie for front, back and overall results.  The player in each pod with the most pod play points will advance to the elimination bracket.

 

Monday, July 27 - a.m. First round of pod match play, p.m. Second round of pod match play.

Tuesday, July 28- a.m. Third round of pod match play, p.m. playoffs if necessary

Thursday, July 29 - p.m. Championship Match.

 

PRACTICE ROUND:

 

  • One practice round per player.

 

  • Practice round, cart, and range fee is $50 plus tax. 

 

  • Available two weeks prior to competition based on availability. Call Braelinn GC to reserve your practice round after acceptance confirmation.

 

CADDIES: Players may provide their own caddie. GSGA’s Cart/Caddie Policy will be in effect (one bag/one butt), either the player or caddie may ride but not both at the same time.

 

YARDAGES & TEES: Combination of tee markers and yardages will be used. Practice yardage sheet available after entries close under the Player Information tab on the event portal.

 

StrackaLine yardage book options are available at a 20% discounted rate.  Order via provided link under the Player Information tab.

 

GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE: Open at 7:30 a.m. each day of competition.

 

STARTING TIMES: Assigned by GSGA and posted on the event portal starting July 20th.

 

REGISTRATION: No formal on-site registration. Withdrawals must be called or emailed to the Official In Charge listed above.

 

FOOD SERVICE: Available in clubhouse. Credit cards ONLY.

 

PRIZES: Trophies are presented to the overall winner. Gift cards will be presented to the top TBA.

 

REFUND POLICY:

  • A $30 service charge will be retained by the GSGA on all refunds granted prior to the close of entries.

 

  • Entry fees will not be refunded after entries close unless there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled.

 

  • Withdraws after the close of entries must be made by calling or emailing the Official In Charge listed above.
