2026 Men's & Women's Four-ball Championship  Information

 

Eligibility: All Four-Ball participants must conform to the USGA Rules of Amateur Status as specified in the USGA Rules of Golf. All participants in State Championships are required to have an active GHIN Handicap through a USGA Licensed Mississippi Club. All participants must also be bona fide residents of the state of Mississippi for at least 60 days prior to the tournament.

 

 Format: The Men’s Four-ball Championship is scheduled for 54 holes (Men's Division), Women’s Four-ball is scheduled for 36 holes (Women's Division) of team four-ball stroke play. The Men's Division will be flighted after 36-Holes. The Women's Division will be flight after 18-Holes.

 

Practice Round: One practice round is available per player. Practice rounds are available on Thursday, August 27th for Men, and Friday, August 28th for Women. Please contact Sunkist Country Club (228-388-3961) to schedule practice rounds. Practice round fee is $50 per player and includes cart.

Men will play the Blue MGA tee markers and Women will play the White MGA tee markers. The markers will be on the course for practice rounds on August 27th.

 

Player Check-In: There will be no Player Check-In for this event. Players will receive their tee gift at scoring following their first round of play.

 

Player Food & Beverage:  The MGA will provide an Awards Ceremony following Sunday’s round on the 30th for both the Men’s & Women’s Championship. Hors D’oeuvres will be provided at the ceremony. Players may also make purchases in the grill using cash or credit.

Sunday will be a Shotgun Start in the morning, time to be determined. The Awards Ceremony immediately following play.

 

Cart Fees: All cart and green fees are included in the tournament entry fee.

 

Spectator Carts: Spectator carts will not be permitted during this championship with the exception of a spectator who can provide an issued and active Handicap Permit. Final decision will be made by the MGA Staff and also the availability of carts at the host facility.

 

Caddies: Caddies are permitted during the championship. Players are responsible for supplying their own caddie. * MGA Cart Policy - there will be a maximum of 2 carts per group and 2 individuals per cart. *

**Caddies must walk at all times.**

 

 

Withdrawal Policy: In the event of a tournament withdraw; the player must notify the Mississippi Golf Association Office at 601-939-1131. If withdraw is made prior to tournament deadline, the player may receive a refund regardless of reason less a $25 administrative fee. For a withdraw made after the entry deadline, the player WILL NOT receive a refund unless the player has experienced a sudden illness or injury, a signed Doctor's note is provided, and only if the Mississippi Golf Association is notified prior to the first round of the tournament.
