Format:

One 18-hole stipulated round of individual stroke play.  Contestants will play from the USGA Tee Markers wherever they are situated (see Yardage sheet).  The low individuals will advance to the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship at Flint Hills National Golf Course in Andover, Kansas on July 17-22, 2017. Any play-offs will take place immediately after the conclusion of play for the last qualifying spot and two alternate positions.

 

Competition Schedule:

Starting times will start at 8:00am off of hole #1.

Please check the NCGA website for groupings and starting times. Please be at your assigned tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.

 

Practice Round Information:

Fee - $30, cart fee is an additional $34.This rate is available for CONTESTANTS only. Times are on space available basis on Sunday afternoon after 2pm, June 19th. Other times/arrangements may be made available at the discretion of the San Joaquin Country Club staff. Call the golf shop at the number above to schedule a practice round.

 

Cart Information:

Automotive transportation is prohibited. Players and caddies must walk.

 Pull-carts are permitted. SPECTATOR CARTS ARE PROHIBITED.

 

Caddies:

Caddies are permitted for the qualifying; however, NO caddies are available at San Joaquin Country Club for hire. Players are restrited from having Parents and Legal Guardians as Caddies.

 

Practice Balls:

Provided for players prior to and following competition round at no cost. The practice range will open at 7:00am. The practice putting and chipping greens will open at sunrise.

 

Payment Information:

All facilities accept cash, check or credit card.

 

Food and Beverage Information:

The restaurant is closed all day. Players, caddies and spectators may order from a limited service menu at the snack bar throughout the day.

 

 

Withdrawals:

Notify the NCGA at 831-625-4653 to withdraw.  Players that fail to notify the NCGA prior to their starting time will be listed as No Shows.

 

Refunds:

In the event of injury or illness, contact the USGA at 908-234-2300 for a refund prior to July 7, 2017. No refunds will be issued after July 18, 2017.  A $20 service charge will be deducted from all refunds.

 

ADDITIONAL RULES INFORMATION

 

Rules Information:

The Rules of Golf effective January 1, 2016 are in effect and are supplemented by the 2017 USGA Hard Card.  The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the qualifying site.  It is the player’s responsibility to know the conditions of the competition.

 

Limitation of Golf Balls:

The optional condition in Appendix I known as the “One Ball” Rule is in effect. See Appendix I.

 

Automotive Transportation:

The use of automotive transportation is prohibited for players and caddies.  See Appendix I.

 

Footwear:

Shoes with traditionally-designed spikes (regardless of composition, i.e., ceramic, plastic, etc.) or spikes, regardless of design, comprised entirely or partially of metal (if such metal may come in contact with the course) are prohibited during the stipulated round.  Penalty for breach of this condition: Disqualification.

 

Distance-Measuring Devices:

Distance-Measuring Devices are  permitted.

 

Grooves Condition:

Optional condition prescribed in Decision 4-1/1 is in effect.  You may check to see if your grooves are conforming by using the Informational Club Database - http://www.usga.org/InfoClubsDB/intro.html
