Format:

One 18-hole stipulated round of individual stroke play.  Contestants will play from the USGA Tee Markers wherever they are situated (see Yardage sheet).  The low individuals will advance to the U.S. Girls' Junior Championship at Boone Valley Golf Club in Augusta, Missouri on July 24-29, 2017. Any play-offs will take place immediately after the conclusion of play for the last spot and two alternate positions.

 

Competition Schedule:

Starting times will start at 8:00 am off of holes #1 and #10.

Please check the NCGA website for groupings and starting times. Please be at your assigned tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.

 

Practice Round Information:

Available to CONTESTANTS ONLY.  One practice round is permitted after 1pm on Sunday June 18th. You must call the golf shop for a tee time, 209-722-3357.  

 

Cart Information:

Automotive transportation is prohibited. Players and caddies must walk.

 Pull-carts are permitted. .

 

Caddies:

There are no caddies available at Merced Golf and Country Club, but you may bring your own. Parents or guardians may not caddie.

 

Practice Balls:

Provided for players prior to and following competition round at no cost. The practice range will open at 7:00am. The practice putting and chipping greens will open at sunrise.

 

Payment Information:

The Pro Shop accepts Cash or  CREDIT CARD  and opens at 7:00 AM.

 

 

Food and Beverage Information:

Lunch will be provided to contestants beginning at 11:00 am. Other than lunch there will be no food service avaialble at the facility.

 

Withdrawals:

Notify the NCGA at 831-625-4653 to withdraw.  Players that fail to notify the NCGA prior to their starting time will be listed as No Shows.

 

Refunds:

In the event of injury or illness, contact the USGA at 908-234-2300 for a refund prior to August 7, 2017. No refunds will be issued after August 7, 2017.  A $35 service charge will be deducted from all refunds.

 

ADDITIONAL RULES INFORMATION

 

Rules Information:

The Rules of Golf effective January 1, 2016 are in effect and are supplemented by the 2017 USGA Hard Card.  The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the qualifying site.  It is the player’s responsibility to know the conditions of the competition.

 

Limitation of Golf Balls:

The optional condition in Appendix I known as the “One Ball” Rule is in effect. See Appendix I.

 

Automotive Transportation:

The use of automotive transportation is prohibited for players and caddies.  See Appendix I.

 

Footwear:

Shoes with traditionally-designed spikes (regardless of composition, i.e., ceramic, plastic, etc.) or spikes, regardless of design, comprised entirely or partially of metal (if such metal may come in contact with the course) are prohibited during the stipulated round.  Penalty for breach of this condition: Disqualification.

 

Distance-Measuring Devices:

Distance-Measuring Devices are allowed for measuring distance only.

 

Grooves Condition:

Optional condition prescribed in Decision 4-1/1 is in effect.  You may check to see if your grooves are conforming by using the Informational Club Database - http://www.usga.org/InfoClubsDB/intro.html
