The MAYFAIR LAKES OPEN (18-Hole Amateur is an 18-Hole stroke Play

Championship on April 4th for Amateurs 26.0 index or less) with official points counting towards the 2026 SRIXON Order of Merit and the 2026 RACE TO WAILEA!!

We are excited to announce an AMAZING opportunity for our 2026 VGT Members this year!!

 

To celebrate our 20th Anniversary season, VGT Members will have a chance all season long to qualify for a once-and-a-lifetime TRIP TO HAWAII to compete in a 54-hole golf tournament on the island of Maui at WAILEA GOLF CLUB’S 3 award winning golf courses!! 

 

A huge shout-out and thanks to GolfBC GROUP, JM MEDIA and WAILEA GOLF CLUB for making this dream trip come to life for our members!!

Eligibility

Open to all Male & Female Amateur Golfers with current & official Golf Canada or USGA handicap index of 26.0 or less.

 

VGT MEMBER PRIORITY REGISTRATION:

Members have Priority Registration Until two weeks out - Saturday, March 21st.

After that time, the event is open for all non-members. Non-members may register prior to March 21st, and if space available will be moved from pending to registered.  Only then will the entry fee be charged to their credit card.

 

Final Registration Deadline: Thursday, March 26th at midnight.

 

Full Field Size: 88 Players

Prize Payouts: Alternating Gross & Net Scores determine prize payouts in all Amateur flights:

Championship Flight: 5.0 & under index

Flight One: Hcp index of 5.1 to 9.0

Flight Two: Hcp index of 9.1 to 14.0

Flight Three: Hcp index of 14.1 to 26.0

 

*NOTE: There must be a minimum of five players registered in each flight for there to be a separate division.  If there are less than five players registered any flight, we will combine flights for purposes of prizing.

Female golfers will play against male players from their own handicap flight and will be provided with an equitable yardage to play against their male handicap peers (generally 15% shorter).

Senior Golfers 55+ playing in the Championship Division will play one set of tees forward against non-senior Championship Division golfers.

Senior Golfers 70+years old in Divisions 1-3 will play one set of tees forward when competing against golfers in their division.

 

ENTRY FEES:

VGT Member: $175+GST = $183.75 (+$20 if you want to play skins) 

Non-member: $225+GST = $236.25 (+$20 if you want to play skins)

 

OPTIONAL $20 SKINS GAME & HOLE-IN-ONE JACKPOTS:

Gross Skins for Championship Flight.  Net Skins for Flights 1, 2 & 3 (combined).

Entering the skins game also qualifies you for any $5,000 Progressive Hole-in-one jackpots that are available on course. As of Feb.1st there are 2 x $5,000 Hole-in-one jackpots up for grabs!

AMATEUR PRIZING / VGT GIFT CARDS: 

Players will earn VGT GIFT CARDS for placing in the top 25% of their flight.  They will receive a digital gift card code (and value) that can be cashed in at any time by shopping on our online store at www.myvgt.com.  Players have until October 30, 2026 to cash in their VGT GIFT CARDS if they wish to bundle their winnings up for larger purchases throughout the season!

Approximate Tee-Yardages:

 

Male Championship: Approx. 6,400 yards. Male Division 1-3: Approximately 6,000 yards

Female Championship: Approx. 5,600 yards. Female Division 1-3: Approximately 5,200 yards
