To celebrate our 20th Anniversary season, VGT Members will have a chance all season long to qualify for a once-and-a-lifetime TRIP TO HAWAII to compete in a 54-hole golf tournament at WAILEA GOLF CLUB’S three award winning courses!!

Tournament Eligibility
The 36-Hole Championship is open to all Male & Female Professionals and Amateur Golfers with official handicap index 5.0 or less. A separate 18-Hole Championship on April 25th will be open for all Amateurs to compete in.
OPEN DIVISION – Open to Male & Female Professionals and Amateurs (5.0 or less index) who wish to compete for the Open Division cash purse (instead of Amateur prizing).
CHAMPIONSHIP AMATEUR DIVISION – Amateurs 5.0 index & less (Amateurs competing against Amateurs only for gift card prizing)
NOTES:
- Amateur Order of Merit points will always accumulate within the Championship Amateur Division regardless of playing in the ‘Open’ Division or Championship Amateur Division for prizing.
- Senior male (55+ yrs.) & female Championship players will play a 10-15% shorter yardage than male Championship golfers.
- Female Pros will play 10-15% shorter yardage than Male Professionals.
Full Field Size: 72 Players (32 Pros, 40 Amateurs)
Open Division Purse: $14,500 (based on full field of 32 Pros).
An additional $100/amateur registered for the Open Division will be added to the purse. The top 33% of the Open Division will be paid out regardless of Pro vs. Amateur split.
Amateur Division Prizing: $50/player
Prize Payouts: Using Alternating Gross & Net Scores, 25% of the Amateur field will earn prizing
VGT MEMBER PRIORITY REGISTRATION:
Members have Priority Registration Until two weeks out – Thursday, April 9th.
After that time, the event is open for all non-members.
Final Registration Deadline: Thursday, April 16th at midnight.
Entry Fee includes:
- 36-hole stroke-play Championship at Sandpiper Golf Resort ($150)
- Amateurs receive a signature Level wear pullover ($90)
- $20 gift card for the 9th hole kiosk or Rowena’s restaurant each day ($40)
- $50 per amateur goes towards Gross and Net Amateur Prizing
- Gross Champion Winner’s Flags in each Flight
- Credit card processing fees
- Earn valuable points for 2026 Srixon/Cleveland Order of Merit & Race to Wailea
- Members are eligible for over $40,000 in Year-end Awards, Prizes & Bursaries!
- Live Leaderboard scoring and Golf Canada Officiating
- Professional Announcing on first tee
TOP VGT MEMBER AT THE END OF THE SURREY OPEN WINS AN EXEMPTION INTO 2026 RBC CANADIAN OPEN FINAL QUALIFYING – Includes Free Flight to Toronto!
The VGT Member (Professional or Amateur) with the most total points accumulated in the OPEN DIVISION from the following six VGT events will earn an exemption into final stage of qualifying for the 2026 RBC Canadian Open PLUS a FREE FLIGHT to the final qualifier.
Event 1: VGT Opening Event (March 23-24th)
Event 2: VGT Mayfair Lakes Open (April 2-3rd)
Event 3: VGT Masters (April 10th)
Event 4: Johnston Meier Insurance Open (April 24-25th)
Event 5: Surrey Open (May 1-2nd)
The member with the most points accumulated thru the five events will bypass regional qualifying and be exempt to final qualifying in May in Toronto. They will also win a FREE FLIGHT courtesy of VGT!
*The winning player must register and compete in the RBC CDN Open final qualifying in order to receive the FREE FLIGHT.
ENTRY FEES:
AMATEUR DIVISION (Playing for VGT gift cards & prizing)
VGT Member: $360+GST = $378.00
Non-member: $410+GST = $430.50
OPEN DIVISION (Pros & Amateurs playing for the cash prize purse)
AMATEURS:
VGT Member: $460+GST = $483.00
Non-Member: $510+GST = $535.50
PROFESSIONALS:
VGT Member: $460+GST = $483.00
Non-Members: $560+GST = $588.00
Amateurs registering for the Open Division are eligible to win up to $1,200 cash per event. Please click the regular Amateur entry fee + add the $100 fee to play for the Open Cash Purse.
GROSS SKINS GAME: Add $40 for the 2 days ($20/day) and be eligible for 2 x $5,000 Hole-in-one jackpots each day!
Pro & Amateur Divisions are combined for the GROSS SKINS game.

AMATEUR PRIZING / VGT GIFT CARDS:
Players will earn VGT GIFT CARDS for placing in the top 25% of their flight. They will receive a digital gift card code (and value) that can be cashed in at any time by shopping on our online store at www.myvgt.com. Players have until October 30, 2026 to cash in their VGT GIFT CARDS if they wish to bundle their winnings up for larger purchases throughout the season!
