The 2026 UGC AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP presented by IGA is an 18-Hole stroke play championship hosted at University Golf Club on August 11th. The event is open for Male & Female Amateur Golfers with a registered index of 26.0 or under. Valuable points up for grabs for our VGT members for both the 2026 SRIXON / CLEVELAND POINTS RACE & “RACE TO WAILEA”!!

To celebrate our 20th Anniversary season, VGT Members are being given a chance all season long to earn points and qualify for the 2026 “RACE TO WAILEA” A once-and-a-lifetime TRIP TO MAUI, HAWAII to play in an exclusive golf tournament at WAILEA GOLF CLUB!!

Eligibility
This event is open to Amateur Golfers with official hcp. Index of 26.0 & less. For this event, players will be entered into the appropriate division based on their current handicap index as follows:
Championship Division: Hcp index of 5.0 & under competing against Amateurs only for g/c’s.
Our 3 Amateur Flights below will be broken down evenly into one third the field.
Approximate flights as follows:
Division 1: Hcp index of 5.1 to 9.0
Division 2: Hcp factor of 9.1 to 16.0
Division 3: Hcp index of 16.1 to 26.0
Priority Registration for Members – until 2 weeks out on July 27th at midnight.
VGT Members have priority registration over non-members until July 27th at midnight PST. Non-Members are asked to register as early as possible to establish priority waitlist status. Their registration will show as pending and if the event is not full as of July 27th at midnight, non-members will be admitted in order of the date their registration was received in golf genius.
Registration Deadline: Monday, August 3rd at midnight
Full Field Size: 100 Amateurs
TOURNAMENT ENTRY INCLUDES:
- 18-hole green fee at University Golf Club ($92)
- Amateur tee gift = 6 Srixon Z-star balls ($40)
- $20 UGC gift card for golf shop, kiosk, or restaurant
- Driving Range warm-up
- Gross & Net Prizing awarded within each flight. ($50/player)
- Awards presented to Gross Champions in each division
- Opportunity to win valuable points for the 2026 SRIXON / CLEVELAND ORDER OF MERIT & RACE TO WAILEA
- (over $40,000 in year-end awards & prizing)
- Live Leaderboard scoring and Golf Canada Officiating
- Professional Announcing on first tee
- All credit card fees
Prize Payouts:
Players will be entered into the appropriate division based on their current handicap index at or around the registration deadline, and prizing will be based on alternating gross & net scores.
The top 25% of each division will make the prize table.
Handicap Flights are broken down as follows:
Champ Flight: Hdcp 5.0 & less (Men & Women combined)
Flight 1-3 will be divided into 1/3 between
Flight 1: Hcp index of 5.1 to 10.0 (Men & Women combined)
Flight 2: Hcp factor of 10.1 to 14.0 (Men & Women combined)
Flight 3: Hcp index of 16.1 to 26.0 (Men & Women combined)
*NOTE: Due to the limited field size of this event, female golfers will play against players from their own handicap flight. In these cases, women will be provided with an equitable yardage to play against their male handicap peers (12-15% shorter).
ENTRY FEES:
VGT Member: $185+GST = $194.25
Non-member: $235+GST = $246.75
NET SKINS GAME: $20/player (optional)
To play, please add $20 skins payment when registering)
The Net Skins Game will be for all 3 divisions (combined). If you enter the skins game, this also qualifies you for the $5,000 Hole-in-one jackpots on course that day!
