We are proud to announce the details of the 6th Annual Kelland Ventures Fundraising Pro-Am at this year’s Boyd Autobody Tour Championship. For the sixth straight year, our Fundraising Pro-Am will assist local players who are aspiring to follow the footsteps of Nick Taylor, Adam Hadwin or Brooke Henderson and become the next PGA Tour or LPGA Tour Champion. And for the 6^th straight year, we honor the memory of a good friend, Rob Milne – who as a young man, once aspired to play on the PGA Tour.  Rob tragically passed away at a far too young age, but thanks to the Milne family and everyone involved in making this event happen, Rob’s memory lives on through the establishment of the Rob Milne Bursary Fund. 

Proceeds from this year’s event will continue to benefit aspiring golfers who need the support to fend off the heavy costs of training, traveling and entry fee costs as they journey out beyond the VGT.

Since 2021, thanks to KELLAND VENTURES and all our participating golfers and sponsors at this event and the Van Open Pro-am, we have raised over $130,000 for the ROB MILNE (VGT PLAYER) DEVELOPMENT FUND.  With your support, we are optimistic we can achieve our 2026 fundraising goals so we can support a number of aspiring young golfers fulfill their dreams to become the very best players they can be.

I hope you can join us up at the beautiful Meadow Gardens Golf Club on Wednesday, Sept.16^th where you can spend a day with one of Canada’s rising young stars as they continue their journey beyond the VGT towards a Major Worldwide Tour!

PRO-AM FORMAT:

Four Amateurs will play with a top VGT Professional or Elite Amateur for 18 holes in a Pro-Am Best-Ball Format (best 2 out of 5 scores count).

A full field of 30 teams of 4 Amateurs and 1 Professional will compete in a team format to see who wins the trophy!

In its 20th year in 2026, the Vancouver Golf Tour (VGT) has been giving BC’s local professional and amateur golfers the opportunity to develop their tournament skills in a PGA Tour-like environment without the added costs of travelling. We are extremely proud to have launched dozens of our players onto PGA TOUR Canada & Korn Ferry Tour, and FIVE of our alumni out onto the PGA Tour since inception. And most recently we were extremely proud to watch our graduate Nick Taylor go on to win his 3^rd, 4^th & 5th career PGA Tour wins at the ’23 Canadian Open, ’24 Waste Management Phoenix Open & '25 Sony Open!
