QUALIFYING FORMAT

  • 18-holes, individual, stroke play.
  • Qualifiers will be the players with the lowest total. In the event of a tie for Qualifying/Alternate spots, there will be a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following play.
  • Qualifying sites are limited to 84 players from 3 events (Players', Mid-Players', and Senior Players').

 

ENTRY FEE

  • Qualifying Fee $110
  • Championship Fee $125
  • Exempt Player Fee $235
     

REGISTRATION 

  • Registration will open on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.  
  • Deadline is April 27, 2026, 11:59 PM
  • An Exemption List has been created, and spots will be held for those players through the registration deadline.  

 

ANTICIPATED STARTING TIMES

  • Qualifying will be held in the morning at selected golf courses. Typically, we will start playing at 8:00 AM for courses in the metro area, outside the metro, play will begin at 8:30 AM.  If a course has over 54 players, we will request play to begin on holes #1 and #10. This is at the option of the host facility.

ELIGIBILITY

Entry is open to any amateur golfer:

(1) Who is an MGA Associate Member,

(2) Who is at least 30 years of age as of the first day of the Championship, 
(3) Who has an active Minnesota Handicap Index® that does not exceed 6.4 at the time of entry, and
(4) Whose Minnesota Handicap Index® is active, effective the first day of competition for the player (qualifying or championship).

  • An entry may be rejected at the discretion of the Committee at any time, including after the competition has closed.

 

      NOTE: For eligibility purposes, an MGA Associate Member through the MGA Join On-Line (JOL) program must have a Minnesota connection in addition to JOL membership to participate. Examples of connections would be a MN resident (permanent or seasonal), a non-resident student at a MN school, and/or a MGA course connection, validated by a course employee and/or score posting record. The Committee's decision on such a connection and eligibility is final.
