LPGA Amateurs San Diego is proud to present the 6th annual season-long San Diego Players Cup 2026 - Net Division, a stroke-play competition modeled after the FedEx Cup.

Event Format:

 

  1. This registration is for the NET division. It is NOT flighted. (A Gross division is being offered separately and players registering for Net may also register for Gross)
  2. The 1st Place Finisher in the Race to the 2026 Cup will receive a Revolving Trophy along with the 1st place cash payout.  All the winners, trophy and cash payouts will be announced at the Holiday Party in December. 
  3. Season will run from January 18, 2026 (Twin Oaks Member-Guest) and go through November 21, 2026.
  4. Champions and purse winners at the end of the season will be determined by points accumulated throughout eligible stroke-play events.
  5. Eligible Players Cup Events:
  • Stroke Play Events (No match play, scrambles or other odd formats)
  • Any short or long course with a course and slope rating
  • Weekend and Weekday events in which there are a minimum of 6 Players Cup participants. 

 

AGAIN This Year:  Participation Points - Any Players Cup player playing in an eligible event will earn 5 points regardless of whether they earn finishing place points.

 

AGAIN This Year: ALL rounds for which a player earned any points will go into their final point total for the season. 

 

 

Points System:

 

  1. All Players Cup players will be ranked by total NET score over the 18 holes for each event.
  2. The top 10 golfers earn points in descending order using the following point allocation for regular events (1/2 of these points for Midweek events)

1st –  50 pts

2nd – 36 pts

3rd – 26 pts

4th – 20 pts

5th – 18 pts

6th - 14 pts

7th - 12 pts

8th - 10 pts

9th - 8 pts

10th - 6 pts

Total points awarded will be 200 points per Event:

    1. Ties will split points evenly across the number of tied positions.
    2. Positions lower than 10th place earn no points that day, unless there were ties. 

 

  1. 4 (four) SIGNATURE EVENTS:    The Membership Kick-off (3/8 at Native Oaks) , Day 1 Partner Eclectic (4/12 at Dos Osos), Day 2 of the Chapter Championship (6/14 at RBI) and the Turkey Ball (11/8 at Steele Canyon) will earn 1- 1/2 times the regular event points.

  2. 1st – 75 pts

    2nd – 54 pts

    3rd – 39 pts

    4th – 30 pts

    5th – 27 pts

       6th - 21 pts

       7th - 18 pts

       8th - 15 pts

       9th - 12 pts

      10th - 9 pts

           

 

Scoring and Play:

 

  1. This year, EVERY hole needs to be holed out, until the Max of 10 is reached.
  2. If you X out on any hole during an eligible round, you are disqualified from earning points for that round.
  3. 100% of your Course Handicap will be used in all events.
  4. Cup Standings will be available for viewing after EACH event on our chapter website and in Golf Genius using the GGID:  2026NETPC

 

Payout Distribution:

 

  1. $20 buy-in.  The deadline to register is April 30, 2026.  
  2. You cannot accumulate points until you buy in (i.e. no back calculation for prior events you played).
  3. Any year-end standing ties will be broken by the Number of Events played during the season, with the winner of ties being the player who played in MORE, not less, events.
  4. A player must play in at least five events to win any purse prize.
  5. The actual number of entries will determine the prize pool.  About 25% of the players will be awarded cash prizes.
