PLAYERS MEMORANDUM

 

The following are matters pertinent to your participation in the 27th Metropolitan Junior Amateur Championship on June 29 - July 1 at St. Clair Country Club:

 

The following supplements the Championship regulations in the 27th Metropolitan Junior Amateur Championship Entry Application and is in addition to the Terms of Competition and Notice to Players (prepared by the Committee and will be issued at the participants starting hole):

 

Format(s): 

  • 13U and 15U Divisions will be 36-holes at stroke play

  • 19U Divisions will be 54-hole stroke play  

 

Cut Procedure: 19U Boys Division will be a cut to the Low 35 scores (plus ties) after Round 2 for the Final Round Wednesday. 
 

Golf Course Set-up: The Championship will be played at the yardages listed under Course Setup Yardages at this link: COURSE SETUP YARDAGES

 

Practice Rounds: St. Clair CC will be available for one (1) practice round at NO CHARGE by calling the golf shop to schedule a time not disruptive to their member play.  Carts will be available at the player’s expense.

 

Round 1 Starting Times will be published on Wednesday, June 24th by Noon.  A separate email will be sent with those starting times.  

 

Groupings & Starting Times: Groupings will be repaired following each round based on score(s).   

 

Pace of Play Policy: All players shall play by the parameters set down by the Committee in the Pace of Play Policy available on the portal: PACE OF PLAY POLICY

 

Footwear: St. Clair Country Club is a spikeless facility.  Shoes with traditionally designed spikes, composed either partially or entirely of metal, are prohibited.  Penalty for breach of this condition: DISQUALIFICATION.

 

Scoring: The Golf Genius app will be used for electronic scoring.  Each player will get the scorecard of another player in your group; ONE player in each group will be asked to input scores for the group during the round. Instructions to download the Golf Genius app are available on the portal at this link: GOLF GENIUS SCORING

 

Automotive Transportation/Caddies: Automotive transportation is prohibited.  The Optional Condition, set forth is Appendix I of the USGA Rules of Golf, shall be in effect. A Player may provide their own caddie or carry his/her own clubs.  There are no restrictions as to who may caddie.

 

Live Scoring: Live scoring during the championship will be available on this portal or by using the Golf Genius app with GGID: 26METROJR

 

Spectator Carts: Spectator Carts will be available.

Junior Golf Scoreboard: Results from the championship will be sent to the Junior Golf Scoreboard.
